Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

I don’t think binghamton will release any decisions until late-March/early-April, if there are any seats available

They gave us until April 1st to accept our spots and pay the $350 deposit so I feel like they’ll start moving down the waitlist then! Possibly earlier if a lot of people are saying they don’t accept their spots but I really have no clue. They haven’t told us how many have accepted and paid their deposits so far or anything!

For those of you waiting to hear from Bing, do you have an alternate choice? Just curious!

In the waitlist letter I got it said March 1st, did they extend the deadline for accepted students to say yes or no?

Hmm not that I know of! My acceptance letter back in December said April 1st and they’ve been reiterating that date to us since! Maybe I can get more info from my advisor and I’ll report back if I do!

This is what it says on mine, so weird! Either way if you could check, that’d be amazing!! Bing is my number 1 choice so I’m really doing everything I can to hopefully get off the waitlist, I finished my last prereq in January so I’m hoping that’ll help my chances

I haven’t been accepted anywhere else! Waiting on 3 more schools (Pace, NYU, Molloy) and then another waitlist from Columbia, but cost-wise and lengthwise, Bing has the only tuition that I can stomach ? I’m sure that’s how everyone else feels, though so I’m prepared for not getting off the waitlist at all HAHA

How are you on your prereqs? Are you taking any right now?

I finished my degree and my prerequisites! I think my prereq GPA was like a 3.37 or something and my cumulative was a 3.2 so I was genuinely surprised I wasn’t straight up rejected.

That’s not bad at all, you never know what might happen! Do you have any healthcare experience at all, I know that they’ll look at that too in your resume if you have any.

Yes, I’m currently a medical scribe! Responsible for swabbing patients, taking vitals, drawing blood, and all the charting yknow

@kalebiscuits have you heard anything from your advisor at all?

I was accepted to the program but decided to give up my spot to stay closer to home. I hope this gives someone on the waitlist a spot! good luck to you all
