Binghamton BAT 2020-2021

Hey everyone! Just got the email that my application and transcripts have all been received for the class beginning May 2020. Now I just have to wait for my admissions decision (the worst part!!). Anybody else applying, or have applied, to Binghamton for May? Good luck to you all! ?

I think it depends on the amount of admitted students who chose to decline their admission. Did you apply to any other school?

If you don’t mind me asking, when did you find out you were not admitted from the waitlist last year?

Early May, I want to say it was around the 6th.

I applied to NYU and got in, but declined them bc it costs an arm and a leg to go there. Going to apply to other NY programs that start in fall.

I still haven’t heard back, so I’m assuming I’m getting rejected at this point.

I got in, but will be rejecting the offer so that will hopefully give one of you on the waitlist another opportunity.

I was also thinking that because Bing is a more science heavy school, they prefer applicants with a hard science background. And thank you! Same to you!

@nurseanthro I was rejected too with great grades. However, they stress they give priority to those who completed ALL of their prerequisite courses. Just like you I still have two more courses to take. But like many others they may have completed all 12 of the courses already. Good luck to you though and to all still waiting. Hopefully my 1st choice gets back to me soon on a decision! ( cross fingers)!

Yes, I feel that my remaining pre-reqs were a major factor. I'm sorry that you were not accepted either, but good luck to you on the other school! I am also waiting to hear back from my first choice as well.

@Nurseanthro since your missing chemistry and micro, both hard science courses, this probably didn't help your cause. They give priority to those who have all prereqs completed. Apply to other schools if you can.

I definitely agree. I have applied to another one already and will apply to some more when applications for them are open. Good luck to you!

For those on the waitlist, did you receive an email from decker academic advising about the waitlist? I don’t remember receiving this type of email last year
