Binghamton BAT 2020-2021

Updated:   Published

Hey everyone! Just got the email that my application and transcripts have all been received for the class beginning May 2020. Now I just have to wait for my admissions decision (the worst part!!). Anybody else applying, or have applied, to Binghamton for May? Good luck to you all! ?

does anyone know the exact price of tuition for a NYS resident?

I asked my advisor this question on Thursday as well. She was not quite sure, but she said it should be around 25k. She said we can find more information on student hut.

Does that link work for you?

Good evening, everyone. I am wondering if anyone start looking for housing. Do your guys prefer to live in dorm or outside? Any advises will be great.

Hi everyone, I received a rejection letter last night. I'm actually relieved since I didn't really want to relocate but I'm a little confused as to why I wasn't accepted or waitlisted. I had similar stats to people who were accepted last year. I had an A in all the pre-reqs besides AP I & II (both A-) and my previous degree was in anthropology (3.58 gpa). I still have the second semester of chemistry and microbio to take this spring. I didn't have any hard science classes from my first degree. I thought I had a pretty strong resume with past internships and experiences (public health related) but I had some gaps on my transcript and resume from a few years ago due to some health issues so maybe that could have been a factor. I should probably email them and ask what could have made my application stronger. Congratulations to those who were accepted and good luck to those still waiting for a response!

I received my first bachelors from Binghamton. If you live on campus, I would recommend the on campus apartments. But I wouldn't recommend living on campus overall; you can get more for less off campus. Mostly, I HIGHLY advise against U Club. I lived there my junior year, management is extremely rude & constantly invades your personal space by entering your apartment and touching your belongings without warning. It made for a very difficult year.

I haven’t heard anything from the school, but I do know that so many schools don’t really have answers as to how they give out acceptances/rejections. A lot of schools just say “we look at the applicant as a whole,” which blows my mind. With your stats I would think you’d get accepted or at least waitlisted too! Weird. Could just be that there were a lot of applicants with better stats? Wish you the best of luck though no matter where you go!

@nurseanthro I was rejected too with great grades. However, they stress they give priority to those who completed ALL of their prerequisite courses. Just like you I still have two more courses to take. But like many others they may have completed all 12 of the courses already. Good luck to you though and to all still waiting. Hopefully my 1st choice gets back to me soon on a decision! ( cross fingers)!

I'm still waiting on a decision and I just want to know. I also have all my prereqs completed.

@Nurseanthro since your missing chemistry and micro, both hard science courses, this probably didn't help your cause. They give priority to those who have all prereqs completed. Apply to other schools if you can.

I am still waiting on a response from Binghamton. Binghamton is my top choice but UB needs there deposit by February 1st. I still have one more prerequisite to complete for Binghamton but three more if I have to go to UB.

I was just waitlisted.
