Binghamton BAT 2020-2021

Hey everyone! Just got the email that my application and transcripts have all been received for the class beginning May 2020. Now I just have to wait for my admissions decision (the worst part!!). Anybody else applying, or have applied, to Binghamton for May? Good luck to you all! ?

Hi Everyone, did any apply to Decker school of nursing as Transfer for FAll 2020 ?

Im so nervous, I called in today and they said decisions are being sent out.

I Have everything they need and i also have experience in the medical field hoping they will read my resume. My GPA is a 3.5.

Did anyone get accepted or is still waiting for the decision ?

Nope! Apparently they release decisions about the wait list between March 1 and May 15.

I haven't heard anything from Binghamton as yet. By the way, do you have any prerequisites left?

I wasn’t able to make it to the BAT admitted students open house, & I was just wondering if there was any info that wasn’t included in the email that I should know about? Thanks!

I am a current senior at Binghamton and was waitlisted as of January 17. I just got an email about my financial aid package for the 20-21 school year being ready. It shows a "Federal Nursing Loan" as part of my package. When I googled it, Binghamton's website says its "Students admitted to the Decker School of Nursing and are registered for at least 6 credits may be considered" for that loan.

There's no update to my application but I'm hoping this is good news.

Any word on if COVID-19 will affect the program? I’m sure it will, but might call today and ask. Also anyone heard back off the waitlist at all?

That’s a good question, I’m not sure. If you call can you please let us know what they say

I just spoke with them today. As of now the program start date is not being pushed back and they are going about their waitlist process as usual.

Is anyone else not looking into subleasing yet since there’s a chance we may have online Summer courses?

That seems very likely. I'm a senior now at BU and they sent out an email yesterday of possible dates we could reschedule our commencement for... the earliest was August 7 (after both Summer sessions are finished).

Also, a tip, don't live in Johnson City or anything north of Main St... try to stay near Leroy St (probably your best bet because busses will take you from Leroy directly to the pharmacy school), Riverside Dr, and downtown. (BU has its own bus system that goes all over as well as Broome county transit busses. You can ride both for no extra cost with your student ID because it's built into your tuition and fees)
