Anyone go through the Evening or weekend option? I'm not sure what these would entail??? When do you do your clinicals? Did you do it while working in a different field during the day? I need some advice.
NCLEX PASS RATE
i saw that BHCC's pass rate was only 62% for the NCLEX. for some reason, i thought it was much higher. some other community colleges also had low pass rates. it looks like i will have to start studying for the NCLEX from the very beginning of the program in order to pass it with ease. i had no idea that the test was so hard to pass!
this is the 2007 NCLEX pass rate for MA by school:

i got it from a thread on this board.

Hi all,
I am a grad of the BHCC evening program back in 2002. Back then , the pass rate was over 90%..and I noticed ever since they instituted the weekend program and increased the enrollment ..the pass rates have decreased.
I wonder if BHCC is stretching the students too thin for the program.
When I was in school..the exams were tough..but they prepared us well..my whole evening class passed the NCLEX..but we graduated about 6 evening students ..down from 12 students. So we got lots of attention.
Just study, read....study in groups...and don't miss lecture!!
Hi Spudbunny,
On the day of orientation they noted that they currently have 3 clinical sites. Tewksbury (I don't have the name of the hospital/clinic), Boston Home located in Dorchester and Woodbriar located in Willmington. They said they no longer have the Somerville hospital and I think they're looking for another location. I'm not sure if they're still using Mt. Auburn..I think they used that site before....Let us know what you find out.
Thanks
Hope your summer is going well.
Hello,
I am ready to place my order to McGills for the nursing uniform/supplies. For those of you who have already received your orders, which stethoscope and model of Nursemate shoes did you purchase? Are you happy with your choices? I am also looking at buying these items through another vendor online if prices are better. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer before the work starts

UNIFORMS for BHCC
today, i got my uniforms from the NH company that took our orders during orientation. i am a little disappointed. the polo shirt fabric is scratchy and mostly polyester. the pants are too small in the seat. the lab coat is too heavy. i'm really not going to be comfortable wearing these clothes for clinicals, and would like to find substitutes that are better made. can i just go to a local uniform shop around boston and buy substitutes, or am i required to buy uniforms only from this NH company? of course i would return the stuff from NH. thanks.
