  1. The PVT trick worked. Took my exam on August 6th got the good pop-up and officially found out I passed on August 8th. It also worked for 4 others I referred .
  2. Hi Spudbunny, On the day of orientation they noted that they currently have 3 clinical sites. Tewksbury (I don't have the name of the hospital/clinic), Boston Home located in Dorchester and Woodbriar located in Willmington. They said they no longer have the Somerville hospital and I think they're looking for another location. I'm not sure if they're still using Mt. Auburn..I think they used that site before....Let us know what you find out. Thanks Hope your summer is going well.
  3. How and where did you locate BHCC's and other schools NCLEX pass rate?
  4. IGOTIN, Do you happen to be Kim..This is Vanessa
  5. Hi IGOTIN, I just dropped mine off at the registration desk, but got a copy of it with my signature first. I sent an email to Donna asking that she confirms receipt, but I have finals tomorrow so when I'm down there I'm going to check in person
  6. Hey Spudbunny, Glad you're all set. Yeah I knew that had all the credentials, because of past students. See you soon.
  7. Hello, For those looking for CPR classes you can go into the website http://www.americanheart.org type in your zip code or state and then from the drop down menu select BLS for Healthcare Providers. Spudbunny I forgot that Carney changed their name to Caritas Carney Hospital 2100 Dorchester Ave....be careful when you select because there's one in Brockton as well.
  8. HI 617MOM, I'm sorry I thought I PM you on yesterday regarding the CPR class. I heard good thing about Carney Hopsital in Boston -$30.00. They have Satruday classes twice a week and other days. I'm going on 6/21. Going to work now but I know on another thread someone sent web links to different places....I'll be home around 9:30pm and will send it to you then.
  9. In regards to what year will be the most challenging I guess the instructors during orientation can advise you, we on the the post can tell you another thing and current and past students can tell us something else, but I guess its all relevant. What one may find difficult to another may not.
  10. Hi dfs1961, How long ago did you graduate? I was advised during the information session and our drug calculation teacher that they do, but I don't mind being wrong ...617MOM I would be more than happy to be wrong on this one so you can have the summers off :nuke:.
  11. No problem. I'm not sure what classes, but yes they go thru the summer, that's how they make up for the reduced hours. I'm actually in the day program. So I hear that all sessions are having orientation together on 5/21. I'm excited, but defintley nervous. I tell you between being nervous with the TEAS, nervous with the results, nervous about the program, neverous when it's time to take the NCLEX, nervous about job interviews, nervous as a newbie on the job... I figure at this rate it will be another 4 years before I settle down.
  12. Congratulations 617MOM. Great job....All the programs are 2 years. The weekend program goes thru the summer wereas the day and evening don't. I spoke with my both my friends one who just finished her 3rd semester and another who's finishing up her first. Both said the 3rd semester is the hardest and said they actually made that clear in their orientation. 3rd year is pediactrics she said that even those getting A's in the first 2 semesters saw a drop in their grades during the 3rd semester. I'm going to join my girlfriends study group that they're going to have over the summer. I refuse to get this far and drop out or fail.
  13. Ok gottcha. Well I remember during the information session that one of the questions was what weight the TEAS has and they couldn't stress it enough, but did advise that if your scores weren't that great then you want to ace your pre-reqs....
  14. Hi RuseRN2b3 I'm not sure what you mean when you say you want to sit down and talk with them? I'm assuming you're shooting for the weekend program which requires that all pre-req and core classes be taken first, otherwise from your list of classes all you would need is Drug Cal. If you haven't taken MAT195, then yes you would need statistics or a class that satisfies the Quanatative Thought area. With that said even if you're applying to the day program I would still suggest taking all or as many core classes to avoid having to take it during the program and I'm sure that also make your more favorable. All in all it appears that the TEAS score is the priority and GPA is a secondary measure. Any questions let me know. I wish you the best of luck.
  15. I'm not joining you in the evening but I wanted to congratulate you:yeah:
