Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????
good luck bp2244! just have answers prepared for :
What are your short term and long term goals in nursing?
What does a nurse do?
and a question which I now realize I answered completely wrong:
how much did you study for the NLN? (I think the right answer is "a lot", given what was said about them trying to improve their nursing board pass rate)
Meytal,
I think you should tell them at the time of those initial bad grades you had overwhelming family obligations but you are serious now and you have arrangements for example hiring a nanny and family help that will allow you to have more study time. That you are passionate about the profession and maybe you should go into the three year so your course load is lighter. If you dont mind could you give us the initials of your interviewer my daughter was interviewed by an asst dean she thought she wasnt going to get in but instead of the two year they put her in the three year.Dont count yourself out.

:heartbeat:heartbeatHi all,
I've been out of town and away from the internet for a few days. I'm about to get on my flight to come for my interview tomorrow. You may not know, but I'm from Chicago (by way of Los Angeles). So, I'll be coming tonight and leaving tomorrow after my interview. I went back to page 6 of this thread and clicked on the link to a thread from a couple of years ago that talks a lot about what they ask at the interview. I feel pretty prepared. I really hope that they don't ask me to change the program I picked (2-yr traditional). We'll see. Anyho, I'll chat with you all over the weekend. :nuke:
