Beth Israel Nursing School NYC

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????

Hi all, I also just spoke to *** *****, they have all my documents and it's already with the committee. So good luck to all of us still waiting to know......

Hi Nurse2011, why do you feel your interview didn't go well? What happened, did they say something to you to make you feel that way or was it just an overall feeling that you had?

Hi everyone,

I am also waiting for a response, post interview. I have a question for any applicants that are applying for the ATOP program. Have you already taken Microbiology and do you know if it is mandatory before starting BI in the fall?

Thanks so much

Kitty

nursefor2011 - didn't you score in the 99% on the NLN? I am sure you'll get in.

TripleA - you also scored high on the NLN, right? A 148 coposite score, right? You're also gonna totally get in.

Ripley - Such good news about your docs. I am glad you didn't have any further problems with that.

kittty - you were the one who didn't remember your NLN scores?

Hi Bp,

No that wasn't me. This is only the second time i have posted.

Thanks bp2244, it was such a relief when I called today and *** ***** said they had everything, she knew right away. Oh, and I asked her if I should just wait for them to contact me and she said I should call back on Thursday.

kittty - I applied to the traditional 2 year, but I was just looking at BI brochure and it seems that you should already have microbiology done to get into the ATOP program, but you should call them to confirm.

kittty - do you mind me asking about your NLN score? Also, what program are you going to?

Hi Ripley,

What time did you call *** *****? I've been trying to reach her via email & phone, but I was not so lucky.

hey everyone.

i had my interview today. and you guys were right. its not that bad. my interview ended up being about one and half hours long and i think it went pretty okay. it was a nice experience.

here's the latest update i found out from the person who interviewed me today. about 900 people applied for program and about 20 people have accepted so far for a program which only has about 100 seats. as of right now, they have already interviewed about 40 people and have another 50 or so people left to interview. they are going to hold a meeting next monday to decide who to accept and review everyone's file who had already been interviewed.

we should all get our letters within the next two weeks i believe. good luck to all!

this is all so nerve wrecking!

oh. and i originally was planning to do the traditional program, but the advisor told me since i had a finished a lot of the liberal classes, i can think about doing the ATOP program. i'm trying to decide right now.

Hi Jennyy329, I'm glad to hear your interview went well. Did you get to find out what your NLN score was?

Hi eilama27, I called *** ***** later this afternoon, sometime after 3PM. I tried her a couple of times before I was able to get in touch with her.

BP,

I applied for the ATOP program. My composite score was 139.

I got a high score on my NLN; 99 percentile and 152 composite.

About the interview; I don't know, maybe I expected too much because people told me what great experiences they had. I felt I was underestimated, possibly because I'm only 17. I thought maybe being 17 with a 3.6 and 99% percentile was impressive. :(
