Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????
Okay so is there anyone on this thread that took their NLN test April 6th I just got back from vacation and was surprised to see I have not received my scores. Well Congrats to all who have made it and Good Luck to all still waiting. I dont know what boat I'm in and I totally forgot about the 1 may deadline to make sure they got everything. OMG looks like I may have to re-apply next year. any advice or info will be appreciated....I wanna cry :heartbeat
I have good news and bad news. First the bad news: I called *** ***** today (she really is a sweetheart and very helpful) and she told that she didn't have all my remainding documents that I personally handed in last week (she wasn't there and I handed them to someone else) . But she said that she was going to look for them and to call her back tomorrow. She said she busy today sending out a couple of hundred rejection letters. The good news for me is that she said my scores were good enough for consideration. I'm really concerned because when I handed them my things i had them in a plastic binder and the ladies who took it removed my documents and handed the binder back to me. Included in these documents was my essay which did not have my name on it. So everything was loose. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Hi Nynatv25, I actually took my exam on April 8, and both BI and I received my scores. As honeycutts said you should call them up to make sure, but they almost certainly have them. Fortunately for us who took the exams late ( and for me who handed in everything late), they just told me at BI that they do not accept applications on a rolling basis.
Ripley28 - that's good news. I also called *** ***** this morning and she told me that I am still be considered. So, we really are in the same boat. She also said that I should know something in the next couple of weeks. So, hopefully that means I am not in that batch of rejection letters. I'm not sure if she would actually tell someone over the phone that they were rejected. Do you recall the person you gave your app docs to? A name, date, and time. I think if they don't find it all, you will be able to fight it if you have that info. I used to work at a company that did a similiar type of admissions process and I was the one in charge of all of the documents and with calling and getting things that were missing. I was understanding, so I'm sure BI will be.
Nynatv25 - welcome to the forum. I agree with the advice to call BI asap to make sure they recieved the scores. You can also contact NLN and have them send you another copy of your scores.
kittty - welcome. I have heard different people say they got a letter, got a call, got an email, and some even found out unofficially at their interview.
