Beth Israel Nursing School NYC

Published

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????

Thanks honeycutts, for posting your grades, and more importantly for making me aware that I need to take a & P I & II in the same place. I didn't know that. I know that BI accepts CLEP biology, has anybody taken the CLEP in that. I'm also thinking about taking the CLEP for Sociology. I've already finished Eng 101, General Psychology, developmental psychology, math for medical dosage (i'm actually doing that class now) at my college and I have a's in all these subjects.

BTW honeycutts, you did great on the science.. it sucks that you didn't finish, but at least it's way over the 55%, which is a concern of mine.

Okay so honeycutts said that when she called BI they told her that there were 950 applicants. So I did the math and those of us who scored in the 89 & 90% for all on the nln would place from 95 to 105 of the 120 applicants. Of course they take the rest of our application into consideration, but what do you guys think. Just keeping us hopeful....

You're welcome Ripley. My science wasn't good, but it will do. I had developmental psychology this semester, but I dropped the class....my professor was horrible. I thought the information was valuable to me as a mother, daughter, and nurse midwife so, I decided to take the class another time with another professor.

Ripley,

I hope you're right about our scores and the acceptance potential. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for Triple A's.

Triple As got a 148, right? She should definitely get in. That's super high.

so i had my interview last week and it went really well!! for those of you who have it scheduled-relax!! don't be nervous, it was really not scary...just be very friendly and smile!! i was basically asking a lot of questions (which she really liked-it shows you did your research and are into the program) and then we were just talking about nursing, why wanna be a nurse, what motivated you, what does it mean to be a nurse, what do they do. the usual q's they ask on an interview, nothing scary!! I'm really hoping to get in...

Just curious if any of you know an intro. to chemistry course or a general chemistry course i can take online this summer. I never took chemistry in hs or collge and BI told me i need to take it b4 coming into the program.

ceedee123 - i think you can take it at U of Phoenix.

ceedee123 - do you mind me asking what your composite score was for the NLN? Also, what were your individual subject scores for AD? Also, what program are you going for?

Ceedee,

Check finger lakes in new york. Make sure BI accepts U of Phoenix.

Thanks bp244, for posting the breakdown of your scores. Our scores are almost identical, I really hope that below 55% on the science doesn't hurt us, I've looked on their brochure they gave us on orientation and it say 55% minimum overall composite and 45% minimum on verbal. Oh, and I applied for the 2 year traditional, but I'm also flexible if it means getting into the program

Aughhhhhhh... tick tock tick tock.

What happened to Nursefor2011? She scored a 99%. Did she get in? She should have?

bp2244-

so i got a composite score of 130 and a 91%. my scores for AD were-

verbal-80

math-93

science- 78

i applied for the 2 yr traditional program
