Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????
I was finally able to reach Ms. Gallo . It took a couple of days. She said the rejection letters were sent out to people who didn't meet the NLN requirements
. The committee has the other folders. I always feel hopeful when Ms. Gallo knows details about my application folder without having the folder available. I pray that we're all accepted
. I was at the emergency room with my daughter last night and I mentioned to a nurse that I was applying to PBISON, she commented that it was an excellent school......I knew this to be true after the orientation :redbeathe. Good luck everyone, keep the faith.
I'm so happy this thread is active again .
Nursefor2011,
I think it would be to your benefit to finish the program in three years. Nursing school is unbelievably demanding. It would be an unnecessary struggle to try to complete the program in three years.
Bp2244,
I believe it was the minimum requirement. I'm under the impression that is based on the combined scores. I imagine they also rejected incomplete folders. Don't quote me .
nurse2011, i think it is best if you go into the 3 year program if you haven't taken liberal and science courses yet. You still need to take some of them first before taking the nursing classes as they are prerequisites and co-requisites to the class.
For example, Nursing 102 needs you to have finished Anatomy 1 and Developmental Psychology plus its co-requisites are Anatomy 2 and Nutrition. You really do not want that workload plus clinicals all in just one semester. I'm not saying its not possible but just something to think about. I bet you can handle it though with that kind of nln score :)

Nursefor2011, being 17 with a 3.6 and 99 percentile is impressive. Maybe you just got the wrong impression on how the interview went. The fact that they called you for an interview means that they were impressed. So, just don't worry about it, I'm sure everything will work out great for you. With your grades you can get into almost any school that you want to.
