Hello
I have decided to go back to school this year for a new career path. Am currenlty living california (bay area). Also working full time. What is the best career training course out there in the medical field? any online program? I want something that short amount of time to complete.

Choosing to go into the healthcare field pre-licensure (for those that require licensure and also for many that don't) is going to require a school that provides clinical experiences. While some of the lecture portion may be online, there will be a requirement for you to be in a healthcare facility for the minimum hours required by the BON and the minimum required by the school. What in health care interests you? Start from there to decide on a career path.

Look at what job openings are posted in your region. Many regions of the country are saturated with new nurses; wages and working conditions have been driven down to the point where a career in nursing is not worth the cost to your mind, health, body and spirit.
Some hard to fill vacancies include radiology techs, ultrasonographers, surgical techs, nuclear med technologists. Echocardiogram and EEG techs are always scarce. The community collleges - not the for profit ITT type schools- are the best way to get an entry level position and then you can complete your education through hospital scholarships and reimbursement. Make sure that your education is through an accredited institution.
