Hey!

I wondering what are the best nursing shoes for working 12 hours on your feet?

Any tips on how to make it through without your feet hurting?

My OrthoPod surgeon recommended Asics, too. I use the Gel Nimbus. Love them. This from someone he put a lotta work in on the feet/ankles.

I realize I'm quoting and talking to myself. It's okay because I pointed out that I'm self-aware. See avatar. I just wanted to point out that there was nothing uncomfortable about being on my feet for hours upon hours on end in my Danner Combat boots, either. Those suckers were awesome. Add in some thorlo boot socks and it was a great day.

I wear Nursemates Alighn and my Danskos. Although for me the NM sneakers are better for standing and the Danskos are better for walking. I told two co-workers about the socks and they swear by them now. I get Sockwells off of Amazon

I never could prevent the foot pain but did learn to treat it better when I got home. Any kind of accupressure helped a lot and Yamuna body rolling balls for the feet worked best. Very painful while you stand on them but feels so good when you get off! Electronic massage devices also help. Stair step stretches, like the ones prescribed for plantar fasciatis pain, are easy to do anywhere.
