Hey!
I wondering what are the best nursing shoes for working 12 hours on your feet?
Any tips on how to make it through without your feet hurting?

I love Danskos, but some people hate them.

I wear running shoes. I also wear inserts because I have high arches.

Shoe comfort is sooo specific to the individual. Just make sure you wear booties, so you can return them.
I found changing shoes and socks, and applying foot pain relief cream with a little massage mid-shift helped me through many shifts.
Good luck!

I wear Keens with medical grade orthotics and compression stockings.

I live by Keen, too. No orthopedics, but yes compression stockings. I have large-ish wide feet and am not about to have them squished into anything for 12 hours. Keens I wear 10.5, but otherwise usually 11.

I wear sneakers. I tried Danskos and they aren't for me.
I second whah others have said- compression socks or sleeves are a must in my opinion. Amazon has tons of brands and they aren't crazy expensive. Order a couple different brands to see what you like the most.

What do you wear now? Do your feet hurt, if so, what parts hurt? Does your back get sore standing a long time in them?
There is no shoe that anyone can recommend trying without any details.

I usually wore athletic shoes on the floor. They were the most comfortable. I also own a pair of danskos... like the professional look to them and can be easily cleaned... but they're so heavy and my feet are noticeably more tired after a shift with them vs my athletic shoes.

I love Danskos, wear them all the time even as my dress shoes (ths shiny black ones are really cool). Plus Danskos have so many designs. Love them. I have Hoka One One for my outside running shoes.

Lots of opinions about shoes but I think most people will agree on compression socks.
