hi guys! im a fresh graduate and currently looking for the best placement agency for U.S bound nurses.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello to everybody!!! Just wanna share. First, my heartfelt thanks to Suzanne for all the advises and experiences you are sharing to this forum.BIG HELP FOR US. I would say ,I'm your classic example that followed most of your advises when i was starting my application. Right now , I'm working comfortably here in NY and i take control of everything about my employment. Its a nice feeling if no agency would take control of you. You can decide whatever you want to do in your life. Its good to be free!!! My advise to all aspiring nurses who want to work here. if you can have your way to do it on your own then thats the BEST THING to do. I did it on my own why can't you? I paid all the expenses for my applications , passed all the required exams and processed everything on my own. You may say its a case to case basis,you may say some nurses dont have the means to the things that i did.HEY!! THINK...We dreamed of coming here to have a better life and to earn more that you can possibly imagine. Why dont you INVEST for yourself ? i'm telling you , the return of investment would come in no time.Its worth trying than do nothing fellow Filipinos.

Hi, Shaider! If you don't mind, can you share to us your timeframe from filing of application forms, the response, receipt of visa certificate, finding employment/petitioner. How long did it take to accomplish all these? Thanks a lot!

hi everyone! i just want your comments regarding my situation,like if i did the right thing or not.

me and my friends, already financed and was able to pass CGFNS,TOEFL and IELTS. we also paid for our visascreen and are now applying for Illinois boards,. we dont have any work experience yet,and because of that we had difficulty finding our petitioner in chicago. then our friend in chicago recommended this agency,. with a surety bond of $15,000, 3 yr contact and starting salary of $20 for a reputable nursing home, i inquired in the net regarding this nursing home and said that it is A OK. i already have my tourist visa, but was too afraid to go to US direct coz i might be in an Airport-airport situation bec. of me being a nurse..coz of that i signed the contract.. they said that it will take them 8-12 months to process our visas.

i desperately need all your feedbacks...thanks..

For any issues concerning contracts and working in the US, please post on the International Forum.

It makes it much easier to keep them all in one place.

And contracts are not specific to Filipinos, any foreign nurse wishing to work in the US has to follow this.

hi careviii! BTW, what's the status now of your case? i am also bound for illinois in a nursing home setting. i used the services of a filpino lawyer residing in illinois for my application for immigrant visa. i hope & pray that by August this year, medical & consular processing will start for us!

just heard from the news today nurses and pt's in NY are filling a class suit against Sentosa and thier American employer for making this nurses work as clerks and helpers..
