I just finished all my NC classes (all passed without and failures WAHOO!). I am getting ready to sign up for my CPNE, and I will likely have to fly to get there, because I want to take the CPNE ASAP.
Is there any testing centers that I should avoid? I live in Cali and the SoCal centers are booked until July. I am thinking Texas... any opinions? Thanks!

Congrats!!!!
Personally, I don't think it matters where you test. I took the CPNE at SRMC in Atlanta. I really think they strive to make sure everyone is treated in a similar manner. I loved my testing site. My friend took the CPNE in Madison and had a great experience there also. Best advice--BE PREPARED!!!! If you are prepared the site should be irrelevant!

I'll be (hopefully) finishing up my NC exams in the next few weeks and I'm like you, I want to take that puppy ASAP. I've been reading on here awhile and have not seen anything negative posted about any sites.
I've signed up for the powerstart teleconference on Feb 14. Hope it helps get me on my way.

I am not even close to being finished. I just wanted to say congrats to you both. It must feel great to be this close to your dream. Let us know how it goes.

Even though they say all sites are equal, I know that I personally still wanted to go with one that was rumored to be "good". For as long as I can remember, the WI sites (mainly Madison and Racine) and Phoenix have been rumored to be the best. Plano (is that one even still up and running?) had the worst reputation. Atlanta did too for a while, but it has improved.
FUN FUN FUN!!!

I passed at SRMC in Atlanta also, and thought they were awesome!!!! 34 days prior to that CPNE I failed CPNE at Gwinette in Atlanta. They were awful and since then have heard similar stories about Gwinette.

I have heard great things about wisconsson which is where I am going in April. There is a new site that just opened somewhere and I think they have a short waiting list. Check with Excelsior. I heard Texas is hard but WI and Atlanta are great.

I just took my final NC exam on 24 january. I too am ready to sign up for the CPNE. I haven't gotten the packet in the mail yet (It's only been 3 days, can you tell I'm excited). I'm in the SF Bay Area and I called excelsior and they said cali sites are booked until july, but New York may have some dates in may. If anybody else is getting ready, contact me and we can compare study/prep ideas.

Hi Jess,
Where in Atlanta did you test? How long did it take to get an appointment? The school says it may take anywhere from 6-8 months, I hope not.
Teri
Sorry Kim didn't mean to call you Jess. I am looking to take the CPNE soon and I don't want to wait 6-8 months.
