Make friends with the secretaries!
Good luck!!
Make friends with the secretaries is GREAT advice!!
That IS GREAT advice! At my school, when I started about 7 years ago, the principal, (MENTALLY UNSTABLE) told me on my first day that the secretary was going to make my life miserable. She stated that the secretary had even told her this! As a new staffperson, I was quite paranoid, as you can imagine. :chair: This DID lead to my having problems with the secretary, of course. Then, after that principal finally retired, the secretary and I got to talking... The principal had told HER to watch out for ME!! Needless to say, we both were very happy that this principal is now gone, and is no longer stirring up fireworks, (her specialty) and we can just do our jobs. We now get along very well, I am happy to say!
www.schoolhealthservicesny.com is full of info!! i use it all the time!
School nurses in NY are living in terror that they will be cut from the state budget! I swear, I use them EVERY DAY.
