Last Thursday I was at the college for the purpose of collecting my Chemistry grade with some classmates. Apparently, there was a graduation ceremony for RN's going on that night as well, and my friends started talking to one student to ask her about the program. I didn't hear the entire conversation, but one of my cohorts told me the student had stated that ELEVEN people had failed out of NUR-181 alone during her course!
Now, there's always a chance there was some sort of misunderstanding or miscommunication, but does this sound right? For what it's worth, I would think the application process and competitiveness of getting in to the program would assure a strong student population, so it makes me nervous to hear these things. I already received some insight from someone privately, but I was wondering what the public population made of this info.
Thanks!
I know i dont even have an account under prospective students! so i'm waiting to hear from you all to see when they post on webadvisor! so i'll be waiting patiently by my mail slot when that time comes! i'll probably find out 5 days later but in the end all of this waiting wont seem so bad!...sending my thoughts and prayers to everyone! and i too am glad i get to vent all of my feelings on this site!
cele25 and ArisMommy, you shoud have your webadvisor page - you have to log in and go under prospective students. Gives u an option of viewing your admission status. I think once you apply to Bergen ( doesn't matter what program) you get a webadvisor account. I remember once I applied, I could view it. Try it out, there is no reason you shouldn't have it. why prolong your waiting?
when and where will they post it?
#1 Are you a current BCC student ? If you are, you can log in to you Bergen account. Click on prospective students, under Admission information, click Admission Status. You should find under status, either "Admitted" or "Denied". If it says, " Ready to Test" you'll just have to wait.
#2 The Nursing Department has our email address. You can check the email you've provided when you applied to the program OR you can check email on your OUTLOOK account. I always get emails both on yahoo and my Outlook account regarding the nursing program.
#3 A letter will be mailed out to us
WHEN??? From my understanding, some time this week or next week.
cele25, i have been checking since last Tuesday ( like they would have decided in 2 days lol, but i couldn't help it) still nothing. as CherryBlossom said - it either should say "admitted" ( which mine doesn't), or "ready to test NET" ( which is still the case, urgh...I just want to know ALREADY!!!). If they don't accept you, it will say "denied". stay calm,it will be posted eventually.

I want to wish you all best of luck!

I'm preparing myself for nursing school.... I'm sure it will come in handy when I get in the program. Good luck to you too!

HELLO Good Morning Everyone! It's a good thing I have access to the internet on my cell phone because without it, I'll probably go nuts. My phone is with me 24/7. Checking my webadvisor every chance I get. I live, eat, breathe and sleep with thoughts of Being admitted to the nursing program... I already started planning and writing my checklist on the things to do..example CPR,physical,insurance..etc. this is crazy!!! hehe..I guess better to plan ahead "Just in case" but also "Just in case I don't get in" =) Always prepare yourself for the worst but with positive thoughts.
I love this website and I'm glad I can share my thoughts, concerns, fears, or knowledge and experience with you all. Also, reading the posts from previous and current students, lessens the burden and apprehensions on the agony of waiting for the acceptance/denied letter. I look forward to meeting everyone this fall, that is, if i get in =P Again, good luck to everyone! I have a feeling we'll find out this week. Crossing my fingers. :hrnsmlys:
