Last Thursday I was at the college for the purpose of collecting my Chemistry grade with some classmates. Apparently, there was a graduation ceremony for RN's going on that night as well, and my friends started talking to one student to ask her about the program. I didn't hear the entire conversation, but one of my cohorts told me the student had stated that ELEVEN people had failed out of NUR-181 alone during her course!
Now, there's always a chance there was some sort of misunderstanding or miscommunication, but does this sound right? For what it's worth, I would think the application process and competitiveness of getting in to the program would assure a strong student population, so it makes me nervous to hear these things. I already received some insight from someone privately, but I was wondering what the public population made of this info.
Thanks!
Hello Everyone! Inhale....exhale....inhale...exhale...=) Try not to stress yourself too much.... I know it's tough but we have to be strong...stay positive!!!
@ jschroder, I believe you're right about the student registered for all 3 classes. I'm sure he or she is a repeat. If not, I'm guessing that person got a 98 or a 99 on the hesi and has the advantage of priority registration...i'm guessing =) hehe.
I'm trying to stay calm...even though I'm on this site...24/7...lol =P
GOOD LUCK TO US....AMEN!!!
i have Dr Yankowski he is very good. Im doing well in all my classes I wish GPA was a factor on the decision making. I am above average and average is 79 but I am shaking and praying everyday because there are so many applicants. ohhhh I am dying. I think im gonna go to applebee's for some frozen margaritas.. Happy hour... weee lol
some sort of good news? the person i sat next to during hesi exam, was going into radiology program, today i ran into on campus. he also said his class average was 79, so that means nursing and other programs are lumped together in the hesi? so maybe the nursing applicants have a worse average?? one can hope right? give us high 80's a chance!!
secondly, does anyone know if you are denied, and reapply lets say for spring, do you have to redo the background check?
