Last Thursday I was at the college for the purpose of collecting my Chemistry grade with some classmates. Apparently, there was a graduation ceremony for RN's going on that night as well, and my friends started talking to one student to ask her about the program. I didn't hear the entire conversation, but one of my cohorts told me the student had stated that ELEVEN people had failed out of NUR-181 alone during her course!
Now, there's always a chance there was some sort of misunderstanding or miscommunication, but does this sound right? For what it's worth, I would think the application process and competitiveness of getting in to the program would assure a strong student population, so it makes me nervous to hear these things. I already received some insight from someone privately, but I was wondering what the public population made of this info.
Thanks!
Help!!!!
Does anyone know where the form is (on Bergen's website) that I need to fill out as proof of having a Bachelor's Degree? They told me since I can't get into the office before I leave for my wedding/honeymoon (on Monday!) and won't be back until after the deadline, that I could fill out the form available online and then fax it to them.....but I can't find it anywhere!

Now Daddy-O did you go straight to the Nursing Department (eg) Angy the secretary or did you have to go through a counselor and/or a lady named Elsa who works with the Nursing department on the acceptance and denial letters to get some answers???
I went everywhere....ended with Murko. Elsa is very helpful for registering and blocks, but this was a little deeper.
Hi -
I was on vacation everyone!
Ughhhh Feels so good to have my letter- I'm looking to register for the nursing program- which section did everyone choose?
So far it won't let me register. I sent an email to Elsa; hopefully she can help me out.
As far as CPR class, I can't do the June 26th. I might have to e-mail them and do the July 6/7. or maybe I'll just do June 10/11 and get it out of the way. Ahhh... So quickly, so not prepared for everything.
It won't let me register for classes still though and Elsa is out of the office through June 24th! I don't know who I should talk to about registering now!!!! I don't want to get stuck not getting into a class.
Any ideas guys? Let me know...
not sure if this link will work but all white sneakers:

by the way in case you guys didn't notice...
the second i found out i was accepted i called up the school and they told me where to find the nursing packet (this was before it was posted up near the announcments on the site) anyway i went to it, and the deadline for a lot of the things we have to do including cpr certificate and malpractice insurance was JULY 15th.
now i just went to the site again, and right there posted up is the nursing packet, and the deadlines read JUNE 30th.
good thing i checked again, b.c. if i didn't i would have gone by the July 15th deadlines...........imagine. that got me a little mad! lol

Fingers and toes are crossed over here for you. People decline, postpone starting as well as some may have challenges with background checks or medical reasons. Not wishing bad on anyone else, but things happen.
and yes, they are hush-hush and that's why i suggested making your presence felt.
not sure if i would call it a mistake, but like i said i received a letter denying my acceptance. I made a post about it here. after going back and forth it was found that the letter was sent in error. i had no idea how things would turn out but it ended working out for me.
So stay vigilant and hopeful. you never know what can happen.
