Last Thursday I was at the college for the purpose of collecting my Chemistry grade with some classmates. Apparently, there was a graduation ceremony for RN's going on that night as well, and my friends started talking to one student to ask her about the program. I didn't hear the entire conversation, but one of my cohorts told me the student had stated that ELEVEN people had failed out of NUR-181 alone during her course!
Now, there's always a chance there was some sort of misunderstanding or miscommunication, but does this sound right? For what it's worth, I would think the application process and competitiveness of getting in to the program would assure a strong student population, so it makes me nervous to hear these things. I already received some insight from someone privately, but I was wondering what the public population made of this info.
Thanks!
Hi everyone! MSFutureRN20, I had the same issue as I was trying to register online - they weren't allowing me since it said I didn't have Psych 101. The problem was that my transcript wasn't completely reviewed yet. So Admissions suggested I go in, which I did, and they reviewed my transcript immediately, put my transferred credits from my BA degree into my records, and then registered me for the classes I want. You can do it that way or fax it as well - they said it's common for Nursing Students to have this problem since the transcripts aren't reviewed as fast as our admission letters are sent out.
Re: Shoes, I just bought white Sketcher Shape-Ups for school. I have a bad lower back, but these shoes really help my back and posture, so I thought they'd be good for Clinicals.
I still have to do all the insurance paperwork and doctor/CPR certification appointments yet. I'm so excited!
Does anyone have the exact number of how many applicants applied,or how many of us there will be in next year's class? Thanks and hope everyone is well!
They already have my transcripts with my Psych class (from my BA) that I submitted last year and it still made me register for Psych 101.....I called and they told me I had to come in. What did you fax?!?!?!
The Transfer of credit guy is Mike Martinez. He handled my transfer of credit challenges from my Bachelors Degree. I shot him an email. I work in NY and didn't have time to go in.
does anyone know if there is a waitlist got an 80 on exam and friend received a 78 and didnt get in if anyone hears about the cut off score please let me know. Also, if somebody does not accept invitation by june 10 is there still a chance to get accepted??? I hear many people get denied who have upper 70's and later on find out they get a callback to take the spot.
A couple other students mentioned the same issue. I can not remember which office they contacted, it's somewhere on this thread lol. But you can have that fixed. Apparently there is a lag with the college honoring the credits, and you have to contact someone at the college to sort it out.
alright, i did the program evaluation and it seems most of my classes transferred over being that i transferred from another school a year ago and continued to finish prereqs at bergen. i was also able to register for classes. all i have to do is take clinical classes because ive taken the prereqs! i cant wait to start with everyone.
