So, I just got past my application with Bergen and have submitted to my background check. I know there is nothing there that is going to come up so I wanted to ask some questions about the test. Is it the NET test? For which ever test it is what is the best way to prepare for it.
If I get into the program I was wondering if anyone knew if my credits from a pervious college would transfer over or would i have to take the classes over. I have my math, psychology, sociology, and some other classes from a 4 year college I had gone to and left for the Bergen Nursing program because my previous school didn't have. If anyone has any sort of tis or anything I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
Ashley
Hi SFINN,
I'm sorry I don't know your name, but I was just curious...I know we have to have ch 1, 3, 4, &, 5 read , does she also want us to read 8, 9n 22, & 23 for tomorrow and do modules 1-3 for tomorrow or are these chapters and modules homework for are assigned for tomorrow night..I think i just answered my own question by reading the schedule, but I wanted your opinion..fisher
HI Stephanie,
Thats what I meant when I said I answered my own question..I realized that when I read further about the Validation lab days....I'm glad that I read most of the stuff beforehand, they did tell us in orientation to read 6 chapters..I have 1 chapter left to read then onto the modules..I remember the prof saying that she wanted all of us to be registered on EDGT by no later than monday..have you finished ? are your eyes tired ? do you understand and remember everything you have read ? lol
oh... another thing....
I was reading pharm, and doing the calculate with confidence book.... are you guys as rusty as I am in Math?!?! We didn't really have a real pharm class yet, but I'm hoping some of the core things will be reviewed...lol I hope Im not the only one felling kind of dumb right now
Hi Isabella, We were told by prof Hayes to go on webct and print out the schedule to see what chapters are to be read and by what day. She also wanted us to click on EDGt.com . It is another site that gives you info on critical thinking in different situations. After you read the modules ( 1-3 ) she will assign other 1's later on and at the end there are 2 tests to take. As far as the pharm class I'm pretty good.....I may be a bit older than most in the class, but I was honors math in H.S. ( back in the stone ages) so I'm not having a problem YET,..I did hit a snag when in chapter 8 or 9 I was doing dram to tbs conversions...but I'm past that...If you ever need help in math..let me know. Thats why in a previous post I was talking about study habits, I start with the easiest ( or my strong points-math ) first , the most boring ( or most confusing-fundamentals ) when I have no interruptions, and the last the most interesting ( PA ) in the evening. In between all that I do my other homework, make dinner, clean the house...blah, blah blah..ok , see you all in 8 hrs......nite..fisher
Sorry, was at work till midnight last night and didn't have time to answer. haha waking up this early is definately not my thing.
Anyway, yeah luckily I read a lot of this because they told us to in orientation. So far I'm caught up, but I haven't done some of tomorrow's chapters yet. I'm not sure I'll have them finished on time either, but I'm going to try. I only have like two left. I haven't remembered everything...it's kind of like in my brain somewhere, but it's by no means memorized. For now I just take notes, I generally try to understand it or memorize it for the test so she tells us what we need to know and its more focused.
As for the math, It's not my strongest subject, but so far its not that bad. My main problem is that I have to memorize the conversions. I can of course do it if I look at the conversions, but I don't have all of them memorized yet.
HI Isabella,
How did your first clinical class go ..did she go over the EDGT site and assign reading ? It's a lot of reading ..my eyes are bloodshot every morn from reading all day.I read it and go over it again 'cause it does not sink in the first time. OH WELL ..off to class...almost off my rocker..lol:banghead:
Hello all....
So its been 3 week already can you believe it?!?! Next week is our Math exam and the pass or out thing is kind of putting a stress in my mind, even though I know it will be easy math questions but I can't help it...
Our professor has been really helpful and pointing out the things that we DO NEED TO KNOW...
We did not have to access EDGT, it was not mandatory although she said it was a good tool to use, I checked it out and really liked it, good complimentary tool...
I also realized that staring next week, we are going to have one test a week...getting prepared for the intensity
I has been an amazing 3 weeks and just the things I'm learning (considering the fact that i have 0 experience with anything medical) reaffirms that i am in the right tract, I really happy taking all the stress out though!
How have u guys been going?!

Hey Daddy-o,
On the test for 183 did it mainly concern itself with nursing or does she really care about different types of jobs in the field, florence nightengale , diff kinds of theories ? I only ask because I fell asleep twice reading these chapters and I have insomnia....if anything I found the cure...thx fisher:zzzzz
