For sure if u read the notes the teachers give u will be fine. I only went to the book for clarification. I did read the chapters before semester started because I wanted to know what to expect. Like sfinn said the first test was about 30 chapters! All of my notes were from webct that the teachers put up I can meet with u in the library one day and print some for u. Email me and we can meet [email protected] don't let people scare u because it's totally doable and all the bs that u won't have a life and that u should say bye to ur friend and family. It depends on u don't let it become more important than ur family and remeber to have fun!! Playing with those maniquins can be amuzing

You know those textbooks can be so boring. But reading the chapters before can help because u won't be so overwhelmed when classes start. Start reviewing the math for pharmachology, do they exercises in the calculate with confidence book and u will be fine. I have a study guide that can help u. I have notes from the classes if u want to take a look.

Daddy-O I can't imagine how level 2 is. Level 1 is very challenging in itself the amount of work is so hard and trying to prioritize your time. U guys just did the switch right? How is that working for u?

You know, it took them 4 miserable months to send the freaking results!!! I gave up at the end and was just waiting for the letter saying I was denied. My best advice right now is don't obsess with it because they are looking at different criterias now therefore everyone has a chance regardless of your HESI grade, as long as you did your homework with the prereqs and maintained a good GPA you DO have a shot!!! Believe in yourself and wait for the results and in the mean time CHILL!!!!!!

Thank you so much for the input! Looking a little deeper into my care plan book I actually came across Risk for impaired skin integrity r/t poor circulation. I will bring this up to my professor tomorrow and hopefully she will help me and not say that I have to do this on my own Again, thank you

Hi, I just finished my third week of clinical and my first care plan is due next week. This my first semester so everything is still trying to fit in my head and make a little sense. My patient, 82 yrs. female was admitted for having a gangrene foot. She is not a diabetic but has a vascular problem. She is scheduled to have surgery this coming Friday and the doctor is still not sure if it'll be a debri or amputation. I did not get to see the wound but my primary nurse described it to be red and purple on the big toe and 5th toe. She was an amazing cheery person and besides the foot there wasn't much wrong with her. She does have hypertension and history of GI ulcer. Incredibly independent, she took a shower everyday in the morning while there. My diagnosis is Risk for Infection. But here is my problem: I know I can't use a medical term to describe like saying "risk for infection related to gangrene foot" If you guys can help my mind think here because I'm having a big time freeze! It is due next Tuesday and need to get this started soon!! Thank you so much!

Wow u guys have everythng due together. We were fortunate that our professors worked together so we woudlnt have tests and validation on the same week. Ur professor has a reputation of being a little on scary side how is she in lecture?!

No u have 4 hours to take the test, u take in any order that you want... I want to say that you probably can't go back to that question once you have submitted, but Im not too sure... There is no break, if u need to take a break you can but your clock doesn't stop, but trust me it will not take 4 hours to take the test and you will not even remember that you have to pee... I believe I had like an hour left when I finished the test. Start studying now and you will be fine!

Also congratulations for you two who are going to take the HESI, I can remember like it was yesterday when I got my letter saying I could take the test, it only gets better from here!!!! And by the way my overall score was 79 and I still got in!

Hey Stephanie...I haven't posted anything here in such a long time, it's been busy! I got done with 3 validations so far, and on the med validation failed IM because I forgot to freaking aspirate lol... We also had our first Physical Assessment test last Friday and Basics is coming this Thursday...Did you guys have them yet? I talked to one guy from your class and he said that your class is a little behind validations compared to our class. And one last thing... where are you having clinical? OMG sorry for the million question

Hello all.... So its been 3 week already can you believe it?!?! Next week is our Math exam and the pass or out thing is kind of putting a stress in my mind, even though I know it will be easy math questions but I can't help it... Our professor has been really helpful and pointing out the things that we DO NEED TO KNOW... We did not have to access EDGT, it was not mandatory although she said it was a good tool to use, I checked it out and really liked it, good complimentary tool... I also realized that staring next week, we are going to have one test a week...getting prepared for the intensity I has been an amazing 3 weeks and just the things I'm learning (considering the fact that i have 0 experience with anything medical) reaffirms that i am in the right tract, I really happy taking all the stress out though! How have u guys been going?!

oh... another thing.... I was reading pharm, and doing the calculate with confidence book.... are you guys as rusty as I am in Math?!?! We didn't really have a real pharm class yet, but I'm hoping some of the core things will be reviewed...lol I hope Im not the only one felling kind of dumb right now

What modules are u guys talking about? I know we have different professors but I thought the course material was the same. Tomorrow we have a clinical day and we are going to be learning a few things but we don't have anything due nor chapters to read for it....
