Bellevue College hopefuls 2014-2015

Hey everyone, I didn't see a thread for this yet so I thought I would start one.

Is anyone else applying to BC for Fall 2014/Winter 2015 cohorts? I'm getting nervous with the deadline less than two months away. I did all my pre reqs there and it's my first choice school which probably adds to the nerves a bit. Are any of you finished with the application process yet? I think it's nice that this year, the background check is after the initial application just for the sake of saving money if I didn't score high enough on my TEAS to get in.

Hi Justdance14! I got a 92.7. Hoping that's good enough to get me into at least the winter cohort :/

So, do we hear through our Bellevue College email early this week? Is that what you all have been hearing. I am having one big tall glass of wine when all this waiting is done...... :)

I don't even think I have a BC email! I've been checking my mailbox because most schools notify that way...

If they do do it by email, it would be the email you used on your application. Since we come from a number of schools, I suspect a number of applicants haven't set up BC emails. I would be surprised (though not upset) if it was by email though. Emails are not always the most secure forum.

I emailed Chie today to ask and she emailed right back saying that notifications would go out in early May, although she did not specify whether it would be by mail or email. She just said they would be "sent out".

Argh! "Early May".... that could be any time the first two weeks. I was letting myself think there was a chance I just might hear this week. Crushed! Oh well, time to trick my mind again by telling it not to expect anything before May 15. Sigh.

That is a bit frustrating. I really want to hear back soon. I have some deadlines coming up soon but would prefer to not pay for other applications if I got in.

Greetings, my fellow fretful applicants!

(Or maybe you aren't fretful, just me.)

I just got an email from Chie in response to one I sent a week or two ago. I was concerned that if I took a week vacation in May I'd miss a deadline for receiving or responding to our notices. This is her response:

Dianne,

The letters will go out sometime in early May. If you are admitted, you will need to pay a deposit to secure a spot by May 31.

"Letters" sounds like mail to me, not email, but that's just my guess.

Yikes, at this point I'm grateful for any shred of news. Thanks to everyone who's sharing.

I feel you, Jaycam. I really can't afford to go to Seattle U, but I may have to pay them the $200 to accept their offer simply because I haven't heard from Bellevue and I absolutely have to start nursing school in the fall!

Hi!! So I called the office today, and they said, "you'll get a letter or email, this week or next." So I'm assuming if we're accepted, we'll get a letter and if not, we get an email?
