Most of you know about my hyster and its complications. Consulted 2 attorneys both said though definate case of negligence that the damages would not be worth the expense of a lawsuit. Guess I should have gotten fat at mcdonald;s I would have had a better chance. P.S. Still not back to work.

Hi Angelbear.
What about the other side of it, preventing another woman to suffer the same way you've suffered.
I wonder if your doc would have neglected you the way he/she did if there had been a previous suit for the same thing.
Just something to think about. In your place I doubt I would want to spend all the time and money on it, but it's a thought.
I'm glad you are doing better, hope you're as good as new soon. How's your son?

maybe not worth it for THEM. Their cut of the "damages" may not be large enough for them to even bother. Consult a smaller firm. A young, hungry attorney would probably be happy to get the case. Its worth a try. It worked for my sister.

There is no such thing as a negligence suit not being "worth the expense"....only worthless lawyers.

I do hope you are on the road to recovery and will be able to return to work soon. I agree with the posters who urge you to seek another lawyer. Have you filed a protest/negliance claim with your State Board of Medicine/MD? There must be something you can do to help prevent this from happening to future patient of this uncaring doctor. I would try to find a female attorney, who might have more sympathy for your situation. Just a thought.
