Anyone out there have a recommendation on the best career path for me if my goal is to become a flight nurse? I'm a new nurse, currently getting my feet wet on a med surg floor but eager to seek out new challenges.

Check with those service providers. Where I live, ICU and previous paramedic experience are desired. And there are weight limits as well. My friend does this. Says not as glam as it looks on tv

ours have to have 3-5 years ICU experience and work as a paramedic from the ED too. Takes a long time to actually get "in the air"

Our air transport service ONLY hires nurses with significant SICU experience. PICU experience is a great help and will help in getting hired. We never hire ER nurses unless they also have a lot of SICU and or PICU experience.
