When they send you an email in mycommunication it will say. If you are on the top 10 waitlist, the email will be from BCIT Nursing to your BCIT email and will discuss the next steps to be ready.
Meva said:As of Friday, I also received my waitlist status email. It seems like they've expanded the waitlist who will be guaranteed spots next semester to 20, unless I didn't place in the top 10. Anybody else willing to share tidbits of their email? Thanks!
Hi Meva!
I also received my waitlist email on Friday. I was also in the Top 20 candidate. I was just watching the info session that happened this June and they said they don't do waitlist, and if they do they only do it if someone declines the offer and then the waitlist applicants has to start over and re apply for the next intake. It says on the email that if no spots opens on September, I will be "automatically" be placed on the January 9, 2023 class.
Hi Everyone,
I received an email from BCIT Nursing saying that I am on the waitlist for the fall intake, if no seat becomes available then I am automatically in for the January intake. At this point, do I still need to do anything? And if there are no seats for the fall intake, is my seat for the January intake guaranteed? I really want to celebrate as it has been a long journey for me to get in even though I am a waitlisted applicant.

Congratulations! You no matter what will be starting the BSN program at the latest of January 2023! I was on the top 10 waitlist from April and got an automatic seat transfer to September and now I’m starting soon! I recommend taking Libs 7001 and 7021 in the meantime before you start in January, that’s what I’m doing right now through the Summer before September. Also, plan for the unlikely possibility that a seat will become available for September… I never heard of anyone getting off the top 10 waitlist from April, and now we all are starting in September. You can finally celebrate! ? You have been accepted to BCIT BSN program!

from what my friends tell me, VCC does their theory first then clinicals, whereas BCIT does clinicals and theory at the same time. I believe both are 3 years in length
