This is my third time starting a forum (aka my third time applying to a program...).
I am planning on applying to BCIT BSN for September 2015 intake.
Applications have already opened, but I am still waiting on marks. In my case, I have everything but my grade 11 courses (ha). I am currently finishing up Chem 11 and Math 11 because I had a C+.
....I guess grade 11 really does matter.
The deadline is April 1st. Here are the prerequisites as of January 2015:
Hi :) I got shortlisted too! Anyone know what to expect of the questionnaire? (ie. experiential, situational questions like an interview)? Kinda nervous about it!!!
I got my shortlist email yesterday - am planning on doing the questionnaire this weekend. Any idea what it will look like? Congrats to other shortlisted candidates and to everyone else, don't lose hope!!!!!
I also got shortlisted!!!! Omg I hope we get in!! I am super nervous about the questions. I feel like whether I get in rests on these four questions. I really don't know what to expect.
Does anyone know how many people got shortlisted? And how many seats are available for acceptance?
I think someone in the previous thread said maybe 170 ish get shortlisted and they accept just under 100? Not sure if this fluctuates every application cycle.
I just finished the questionnaire! I found the time limit a little stressful - I was just wrapping up the 4th response when I noticed I had 30 seconds left. I went a few seconds over, but everything seemed to be submitted correctly, so hopefully there's not a penalty. Has anyone else finished it yet?
Thanks steph! I am so confused because a girl I know who also applied said they short-list all applicants. I'm not sure how they would have time to read the four questions from approx 500 applicants. I'm thinking she made a mistake, otherwise it wouldn't be called "short-list" lol.
I haven't done the online questions yet, I think I want to sleep on it. Were they hard!??
I also got short listed and plan to do the questionnaire this weekend. I'm try not to be too nervous and think of it as preparation for my UBC interview next week... we'll see how it goes! Thanks for sharing the info about numbers!

Hey everyone, I emailed the BSN admissions committee. They said there was 165 shortlisted for 96 seats!!
Lisco I wouldn't worry about going over the time limit! I read in a previous thread of someone going over by a couple mins, and they still got in. Hope that eases your nerves a little! I'm planning to write mine tmrw, so hopefully all goes well! I'm also bad with time constraints haha
