BCIT Nursing January 2016 Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi Everyone!

I just decided to make this thread because I'm looking for some advice/insight on what more to do to get into the BCIT Nursing Program. I'm finishing up my last pre-req (BPK 325 at SFU) this semester and want to apply for the January 2016 intake. I have recently started volunteering at Nursing home and will have 50 hours by June and I currently have 50+ hours volunteering with the city of Surrey.

Any advice would be great! Thanks :)

Hi choboco,

What kind of work experience have you filled in for the questionaire? I have also put my work as one of the 3 positions, even though it is not exactly related to nursing.

Hi everyone!

2 weeks has passed since our application deadline! It's officially time for me to start obsessively checking my email! Has anyone heard anything yet? My status still says "pending department review".

I applied with 27 credits, including all prerequisites with a gpa of 3.67. I have been volunteering at a paliative care centre for a year and I have 10 years of experience in customer service. What did everyone else apply with?

Wishing everyone luck!

Also, if we don't get accepted the 1st time, can we reapply with the same application, or do we have to start over? Hopefully it doesn't come to that!

From reading the January 2015 intake forum, it looks like everyone was notified if they were shortlisted on Oct 8, and a final decision was made on Oct 22. So it shouldn't be too much longer now. Good luck to everyone :)

Hey yall, I just got shortlisted! super excited and good luck to the rest of you!

Congrats ml0608! I got shortlisted as well :) Good luck everyone!

hey do you mind sharing exactly what you did to get accepted. ur gpa and what courses u took and also ur work experience?

I got shortlisted too yay!! one step closer. Good luck to all of us.

Yay me too! Shortlisted! Good luck everyone!

I got shortlisted too and I am very surprised because I wasn't very confident about getting shortlisted. I have 38 university credits and decent grades that meet the requirements. But on the downside I have zero work/volunteer experience related. By the way anyone know what the online questions might be like from former applicants?

Also anyone know what the chances are of someone shortlisted getting accepted?

Hi!! I got shortlisted too! Good luck to all the applicants í ½í¸Š
