  1. Hello all, My name is Michael currently in Term 5 of the Langara BSN program and also I am part of the Langara CRNBC Nursing student group, which is of the support groups for nursing students along with 3 other clubs namely SNAP, CNSA, and ARNBC. We will be going to host a number of workshops to help you excel in the program. Please visit our Facebook page or search "CRNBC Student Representative Program - Langara College" for future announcements. I'll also temporarily join your fb group if you guys have already made one up. Congratulations to all who made it, it's going to be an exciting journey and we look forward to meeting you all in September :)
  2. Congrats to all who made it in! I'm a term1 Langara nursing student, started in January 2016. Class instructors, all came from different nursing background, are super helpful and the clinical instructors really make you learning unforgettable and interesting. We have already learned basic nursing skills as far as term 1 and they'll practice you for term 2. The curriculum in Langara Nursing is well organized and I like the fact that they spread out the amount of work fairly in each courses. So far my experience is great :). The learning style in the program is mixed instructional (theory) and experience-based.
  3. I'm so nervous now.. I thought they won't send out emails until October 30? Congrats to u guys.. Wish the rest of us good luck
  4. Are you going to accept kwantlen that's a gamble? I don't have to decide yet until we hear back from BCIT, but if they offer me, I'll take it in a heartbeat. In my opinion, If you think you're confident to get into BCIT, go for it :) good luck
  5. I have the same exact dilemma.. I got accepted in Langara and got shortlisted in BCIT. I have been asking around and most of the people said it's what kind of learning style we choose... BCIT style is problem based learning (PBL), I graduated from BCIT but a different program and I would say they really prepare us to be in the field by giving us real problems and throwing us in the crime scene and they let us figure it out and if we get stuck, they are there to instruct us. On the other hand, Langara, I heard it's more instructional. I kinda like both style...
  6. I wonder if anyone of you also got accepted in another school for January (i.e langara)?
  7. I've finished answering the non-cognitive questionnaire... was anybody notified if time was up? It looked like I used up more than 90 min but there was no notification. The questions were based on personal skills and experiences. Anywho... Good luck to everyone who made it to the shortlist and let's hope most of us here get through the final round and receive our conditional acceptance letter by Oct 30. Fingers cross.
  8. I got shortlisted too yay!! one step closer. Good luck to all of us.
  9. Deadline is up. Good luck to all applicants!!
