BCIT January 2018 Intake

Published

Hello everyone!

Now that the 2018 January applications are open, I thought that a thread should be started about it.

To those that are wondering, I'm applying with:

A&P 1 - A-

A&P 2 - A-

Psychology - A-

English - A-

Physics (elective 1) - A-

Philosophy (elective 2) - B

So, overall I'm applying with a 3.55 GPA. I have no previous degree, or relevant work experience. However, I do have relevant volunteer experiences.

I'm so nervous about my chances getting in. How are you guys feeling? What are your grades like?

Good luck to us all! :)

I had the same reaction when I did mine yesterday. Regardless of what we wrote after the time is over, it will be automatically saved from the time we last hit that save button. Anything beyond that time won't be save at all. I think "Attempt 1" just means that we can only attempt the quiz once and can't go back after it's been submitted.

Yes, I think that's what happened as well. Thank you for explaining it much better than I did :)

Yeah no problem!! Glad i could help in any way :)

Hey guys, do you think we might hear back before October 31? Good luck to anyone who hasn't taken the questionnaire yet, and be mindful of time, I thought 1:30 would be way than enough, but really could use more time!!!!

For the January 2017 intake, shortlisted applicants were told that they would find out by the end of October, but it looks like BCIT started sending emails out on October 19th. However, the January 2017 applicants did get access to their questionnaire sooner than us (and I have no idea when their questionnaire closed). Hopefully we'll find out before October 31st!

Good luck everyone!

1 week and 5 days till we find out!! hopefully sooner though

Guys!!! I finished my quiz yesterday night. 3 questions I wrote and proof read but last one I finished in a rush, didn't got time to proof read. I am so nervous now.

@sona2nurse sorry i'm confused, you just finished the 4th answer today??

Sorry for confusions, I got mixed up with words. Last one I finished and didn't got time to proof read. As I was running out of time. Last answer was my weakest of four. And I have one question? How much part do these questions play in application process??

I believe they play a big role in the decision making along with your grades and experience

They will grade these and based on that you will get an offer, non-offer, or waitlisted. At least that's my understanding. I applied last year and scored low on the questionnaire and that is the reason I didn't get an offer.

@kkuit do you mind me asking what scoring low was like? Like what kind of answers received low scores?
