BCIT January/April 2019 Intake Discussion

Hey everyone, I know the BCIT January 2019 admission deadline is still a ways to go but I just wanted to know how many people are planning to apply, and also exchange some advice and questions with each other.

First off, I'd like to show you what I am applying with:

Highschool reqs

Precalc 12 - 99

CHEM 11 - 86

UNI reqs (UBC)

ENG112 - 74 (B)

PSYC101 - 72 (B)

CPSC - 86 (A)

STAT - 82 (A-)

A&P1 - TBD

A&P2 - TBD

I'm taking A&P in the Summer

experiences

- senior home (occupational therapy) volunteer

- first aid volunteer

- pharmacy assistant volunteer

Here are my questions:

Does BCIT determine your GPA based on your own university's grading scale? Or their own? And also, I'm not too sure about how to calculate GPA, since there are so many different scales online. Can anyone provide an accurate estimate of my GPA?

Does number of hours you've volunteered matter? Or do they consider it by months? Because I don't see a box where you input how many hours in the form.

How strong does my application look so far, and any advice?

Now that you mention it, I tried to log in to D2L yesterday through my phone and I couldn't log in

Oh snap, I just checked mine and I'm able to access it but under "My Courses" it's empty

Hey @mh0831 and @ralumaf what did you apply with, if you don't mind me asking? Is this your first time applying?

Also, they only have today and tomorrow to send out the remaining emails right? Or do they also send them out the 31st

Nooo, I can log in to D2L but I can't see the course anymore

I see :p I hope that means that the results coming out soon :)

As in I don't have that "BSN Applicant quiz 2019" course in my D2L. I can still access D2L, just not that specific page. It's as if i was dropped from the course, in a way.

Dw, same for me! I bet it just means that they're completely done with the applicant/questionnaire process and probably have made all their decisions. I guess realistically they didn't even need to keep the BSN quiz up after the deadline had passed
