Hello future nurses,
I am so excited to be starting nursing at BCIT in August!
For future applicants: To have a strong application make sure you have work experience, volunteer experience (preferably healthcare), as well as liberal arts courses - my Psych 241 at SFU transferred over as a libs course and I will find out if any other courses of mine transfer over once I send them an updated transcript.
I am going to be going in with a completed BSc in Kinesiology and Psychology, but a full degree is not necessary, just at least 60 credits to be competitive!
Anyone else defer to August?
Hm, I don't have the link since it was just something that came up with google search.
But I recall that it wasn't from a August 2012 thread but a year or two earlier.
If the scheduling is the same though, then the first batch of shortlist applicants should be notified starting tomorrow...!!!!!
That's okay Chiseen:)
oh boy you guys, now I'm NERVOUS!!! I just watched the new BCIT information session for the nursing program and they were talking about the august intake and we're supposed to hear back in early march, which I'm assuming will be this week! And shortlisted applicants will hear back upon final decision by April 30th (or possibly earlier)!
Hi cat5,
I found them on Youtube.com. I've copied and pasted the links for you below to see:
BCIT Nursing Info Session October 2012: Questions and Answers - YouTube
It's broken down into three links: One is student testimonials, Q/A's from the audience, and then they talk about entrance requirements and most asked questions.
hope this helps:)
