BCIT APRIL 2020

Published

As today is the first day to apply to BCIT for April 2020, I thought I'd start up a forum!

Is anyone else having trouble applying today?? I get an error message saying "No intakes are available at this time. Check your program's Entry page to find out when to apply." But today is June 1st?? :(

Hi guys! I got the shortlisted email as well! Woohoo ? Good luck everyoneee! (Even though you’re my competition ? haha)

Does anyone know how many people got shortlisted? I know the email says it is the double of 64, but i've read in other forums where there were 200 applicants shortlisted.

ALSO, does anyone find it weird how this year the questionnaire is max 2 hrs? In the past it was only limited to 1 hr... T_T

(Lowkey freaking out here, please tolerate my nerves)

Hi Everyone!!

I have been silently following this thread since before I applied. I also got short-listed. I am really interested to see how many others have been short-listed as well!

Congratulations to everyone who got short-listed as well! Good luck to everyone ?

Does anyone know how exactly they evaluate us for the last section? Is the next part only on how well we do on the non-cognitive quiz? or is it combined with everything else we’ve already submitted (application, CASPer, GPA and non-cog quiz etc.)??

It says double so I’m assuming 128 people approx.?? & yeah, I noticed that! My friend completed it in 2018 and she had 90 mins I believe she said. I’m hoping this is a good thing that they gave us longer?? lol.

Has anyone finished the questionnaire yet?
Also I believe there are 142 total applicants that got shortlisted. If you go to the questionnaire “course” and go to class list there are 142 students ?

At the end, I believe they combine everything else we've submitted but I think that if you already failed the non-cog quiz they'll give you non-offer regardless of how well you did in the other factors! If you passed, they'll most likely combine our score with the other info and rank us?...

Ah that makes sense!! I just finished too...now time to wait! Good luck everyone!! ?

Hi everyone!

I also got shortlisted and I'm nervous to take the non-cognitive questionnaire! I studied the bccnp website and wondering how that went. And did everybody use up the 2 hours or did you feel it was plenty of time for anyone who has done it? I assume they have gave time to check grammar, sentence structure etc.

Thanks

Neiha

Quiz ended today! How does everyone feel?? Waiting till October 31st is gonna hard...?

Same. I took 30 minutes per question, but had a good 5 in each quarter to double check my work.

Anybody know if admissions contacts conditionally accepted students before the date they mentioned (oct 31)?

I was going through other years on allnurses and it looks like some people started to hear about a week beforehand? Not sure though
