BCIT APRIL 2020

As today is the first day to apply to BCIT for April 2020, I thought I'd start up a forum!

Is anyone else having trouble applying today?? I get an error message saying "No intakes are available at this time. Check your program's Entry page to find out when to apply." But today is June 1st??

So, just some important dates to keep in the back of your mind. I would assume that if conditionally accepted students do not make certain deadlines seats will open up.

I wonder what happens if we get in closer to April and the deadlines have passed. I guess we would have to get those things in as soon as possible!

Me too! And I don’t know if I should be taking the basic life support course or not so I’m just really lost. I called them and they said they don’t know because it depends on the students if they accept Their seat or not.

So I guess we won’t know anytime soon then. I was also have the same dilemma about if I should take the life support class.

I mean we should know ASAP because classes start next month! So if students intend to take the classes they would most likely have paid and everything! I know that the requirement say not to register for BSL until you have a for sure spot but it’s a bit confusing because it also says prepare accordingly ??‍♀️

March 20th is the deadline for students to submit a criminal record check so you might hear something after that if conditionally accepted students fail to do so.

I was called and offered a seat for April but passed on it for a seat in Sept. I was top 10 waitlist though.

I'm top ten too but I feel like most people who got accepted aren't dropping out this semester!

I sort of agree with you, since there aren't many schools doing an April intake people would have less options to choose from. I wonder if they do see less drops from the April intake then the others. Maybe that has something to do with them telling us top 10 will be offered a Sept seat, but Sept top 10 aren't offered a Jan seat ? purely speculation of course.

Ya I agree, previous intakes have been very vocal about applying and accepting offers from other schools, but this intake not so much. I wasn't told I am Top 10 or 15 and they told me my “application will be reviewed for September”, but now I'm not so sure.
