Hey April/Sept, just wondering how much they are having you on campus for this term? Trying to get an idea of what January start will look like. How much is online for this semester?

Our deadlines all got pushed back until Nov 7 so I think you will hear closer to then instead. The April intake which is now Sept was full. Maybe shoot them an email to clarify things but I would assume all waitlists also got shifted a cohort. ?

Libs 7021 was so tricky for me. I thankfully passed but it took a lot of brain power. Philosophy isn't my strong point. Yah if you aren't in a program you can't get a student loan for them, had to pay out of pocket.

Honestly, after just completing my libs 7021, I'd pay double to not do it with a full course load ? my cohort doesn't start for a while still because of the postponements but after speaking with students already in the program it is highly worth taking it beforehand. It took a lot of time and I only had one other course with it.

I am not sure, definitely email them. They did tell me that if any seats open for Sept (previously April) the people that originally applied to the April cohort but accepted a seat for Sept would be offered the seats first. I would look at it like this entire semester didn't happen. So, if youre on the waitlist for Sept, just assume you are now on the waitlist for January because the chances of a seat being free for Sept are super low as they were supposed to start in 3 weeks. Crazy times, but they are unable to place us into clinicals and we have to be thankful they are doing what will give us the best education. That's why we all made the choice to apply to BCIT! They want to keep us safe, and educate us correctly.

Yes, all us Sept cohort got moved to Jan 2021 and April was moved to Sept 2020. I was talking to a term 4 and they also have been placed on hold. I believe terms 1-6 have been delayed.

I just looked back to clarify and I have an email stating to me that "waitlist applicants that haven't heard as of April 27 will automatically be offered a seat for the sept 2020 intake. You do not have to reapply" the email I sent asked about the top 10 and that was the response I got. It's not even signed by anyone which is sort of odd but the response is from the nursing email. I know that's not really an answer for April but just trying to help ?

I sort of agree with you, since there aren't many schools doing an April intake people would have less options to choose from. I wonder if they do see less drops from the April intake then the others. Maybe that has something to do with them telling us top 10 will be offered a Sept seat, but Sept top 10 aren't offered a Jan seat ? purely speculation of course.
