BCIT APRIL 2020

As today is the first day to apply to BCIT for April 2020, I thought I'd start up a forum!

Is anyone else having trouble applying today?? I get an error message saying "No intakes are available at this time. Check your program's Entry page to find out when to apply." But today is June 1st?? :(

The facebook group for April 2020 has 47 member! Im hoping that means there is at least ten spots!!!!! We will see I guess, im sure some people just haven't found it yet either. It is getting so close to April every day feels longer and longer waiting

Omg I also saw that but like I feel like we’ve been waiting forever and everyday I’m getting more anxious. Like I swear everytime someone calls, I get a mini heart attack.

SAME!!! I check my BCIT email every day sometimes throughout the day and I am starting to get really anxious! I was hoping to know by now so we can have time to prepare and get everything in order!

I feel the same way. Like I feel like I’m unable to do anything because of being on the waitlist ?. I just want to know soon so I can like plan the next year of my life and get the needed for the program.

Sameee the wait sucks! tuition is due 60 days before term start, so the 28th of February I assume? And if people don't pay that by then spots will open up. Thats sort of what my friend who got in for April said!!

Yeah I think so too! I’m just hoping to get a call soon it’s driving me crazy not knowing and I’m so tired. I haven’t taken a semester off in three years and I wanna be able to mentally prepare if I’m starting in April.

Does anyone know if Apple watches are acceptable for BCIT nursing students? (prospective Student here). I was thinking about buying the new series 5 with the “face always visible” feature, but I would like to know if they’re allowed. I’ve read that phones aren’t allowed, but I wasn’t certain if that policy extended to smart watches?

You need a watch with a second hand. A silicone watch fob is recommended or you’ll need to remove your watch when you’re washing your hands. You also want to make sure if you’re wearing a watch it doesnt have any sharp edges that could scratch a patient. I know some BCIT students use an Apple watch, but I believe it’s up to individual instructors & what they feel is appropriate.

i feel confused that they are already doing acceptances for September. If those on the waitlist don't get a spot don't we automatically go into the September class?

Hey, so i’m kind of confused but correct me if i’m wrong, so if you get waitlisted for let’s say April 2020 intake and u don’t get in, are you guaranteed a spot for the next intake which is September 2020?

Only if your on the top 10 waitlist.

Hi Hailey! I would think that there isn't a ton of people left on the top 10 list. So considering not all people offered a seat, will take it there should be at least 9 seats freed up for sept intake. Worst case! I hope you hear soon, I can imagine you'd like to know!
