Hey, I wanted to start this thread for all of us applying for any Baylor Scott & White locations to keep each other updated with responses and interviews. I applied for BUMC specifically.

I heard from the recruiter from BUMC on Friday and we went through a phone screening. My top choice was OB and she told me that there were no more interview spots :(. She schedule me an interview for Baylor Grapevine L&D tomorrow. (I'm an external applicant)

Hello,

So I applied for BUMC and got a text message from them last week on Wednesday, but I have yet to hear any response back from them and I'm pretty concerned. They had offered to do my phone screen and everything, and I said I was interested but I still haven't heard anything.

Is anyone else in this position as well? I'm very worried...

Did you fill out the screening form and send it back? I’m still waiting to hear back after that.

@thomasssNo, they haven't even sent me the screening form. They only sent me the offer to do the phone screen. I've very worried.

The person who sent me the phone screen offer was (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), but I can't get in touch with her because her mailbox is full.

I have only received the location/specialty email I still havent heard from a recruiter either. I'm an external applicant also for BUMC

@thomasss @kalynrn21 Oops, I totally did get that specialty email and I sent it in on Wednesday, still waiting to hear back from a recruiter. The text message threw me off I think. Weird.

A lady name (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) emailed me the screening form for BUMC. I was only able to send it back 2 days later but I know she’s  been reaching out to people who responded the same day to set up interview times so it may take some time. But I’m just afraid slots may fill up and I won’t even get a time.

So I got my email not from a specific person, but from the general hiring email. I just sent an email directly to an actual recruiter I found on here about it (I think her name was (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) as well) so hopefully something comes from that. I'm wondering if this is a pattern based on specialty. I'd like to message you about it so I'm not clogging up the thread but I haven't gotten the messaging function to work on this website.

Hi @happyhippopond!

I completed a phone screen with the above mentioned recruiter and have interviewed at Baylor Waxahachie, however I have been unable to get in touch with her since that time to ask questions, as I was told to direct all questions and concerns to her. So I’m in the same boat. I’m wondering if you can reach out to a different recruiter to get assistance?

@KK2069 Hmm, weird. I said yes to the phone screen but she didn't even send me the phone screen to do, but I did get an email about locations and specialties in my inbox last Wednesday, but it wasn't from a specific recruiter. It was just from "bwsh hiring" or something. I sent an email to a different recruiter I found on this forum and I'm really hoping something comes from that.

@happyhippopond It is all very weird. 

I was called immediately after I said yes to complete the phone screen with the recruiter over the phone. Then last week a different recruiter sent me a phone screen form to fill out in addition to listing my availability for interviews, but she said she was unable to schedule that because the spots filled up. As a result, I was put into the "overflow lottery" (like many others have previously stated) until more interview times come available. So, like you I have reached out to another recruiter just to get some clarification and make sure that I don't get lost in the chaos.. 

 

I am really hoping that you get the answers you need and are able to interview soon. This process of applying to residencies and interviewing and then waiting to hear back all while in the last semester of nursing school is a rollercoaster of emotions to say the least. Goodluck!!
