Hi everyone! I know the application for the nurse residency program for BSWH opened up on June 22 and figured that I would start a thread to update each other on it. Good luck ?

It’s not due by anytime, but it’d be best to get it done as soon as possible! The faster you get it submitted, the sooner the recruiters can watch.

When I did mine, he said I would hear back mid July for an actual video interview (if I get one). They just ask your GPA and when you think you’ll be taking your NCLEX. They also confirm the preferences you listed on the digital interview.

This was similar to my experience when I had my phone interview last Sunday. Waiting for a call back is the hardest part!

Specializes in ICU.

Do we ever get to pick what unit we want? Or do they just assign one randomly depending on what specialty we chose?

I was asked during my phone interview which unit I was interested in working in (ICU). I’d asking the recruiter if there were no available positions in ICU, would there be an opportunity to interview for my 2nd choice and he assured me there were plenty of ICU positions available.

Hi! Do you mind me asking how soon you submitted your digital interview? and how long they took to get back to you to set up the second phone interview? ? I submitted mine last Sunday but haven't heard back yet, thinking maybe they just take a while? or should I be worried already and discard myself? LOL

I submitted my application for ED the night of 6/27. I got a request for a digital interview the afternoon of 6/29. I completed my digital interview that same night and the next day I got an invite for a phone interview. I completed my phone interview on 7/2. ED was my first choice, then ICU, then acute. I think the recruiters are the same for all the specialties. I have a friend who heard from the same recruiter as me and she’s applying to acute care. Phone interview was very basic and just asked about preferences, GPA, and NCLEX date.

I applied on 6/22, completed my digital video interview that same night and got the request for the phone interview on 6/26. I then had my phone questionnaire interview on 6/27. He said they’ve had over 1000 applicants (which they were not expecting) and I’m sure that number has just gone up. I’m not sure how many recruiters there are but it might just be taking some time bc there are so many applications to screen

Hello! ? so I applied on 6/22, received the e-mail invite for the digital interview on 6/23 and completed it the next morning on 6/24. On 6/27, I received an e-mail invite for the follow-up call and completed that the next afternoon on 6/28. He said they still had a ton of videos to view and sift through, so that could be causing a delay.
