Baylor Scott and White Graduate Nurse Residency - Fall 2020

Published

Hi everyone! I know the application for the nurse residency program for BSWH opened up on June 22 and figured that I would start a thread to update each other on it. Good luck ?

Spoke too soon I guess haha...just accepted the position this morning! Good luck to everyone, we got this ❤️

Hi all, I accepted the transplant position this morning!

If anyone on this thread has experience moving their license from another compact state to Texas, can you message me? I was reading that there was a jurisprudence exam and wanted to know how hard it was or what I should do to study! Thank you in advance

I remember taking the jurisprudence toward the end of nursing school and it wasn’t bad at all.. didn’t study, but I do recall it taking a couple hours at least.

I just took the jurisprudence exam this past weekend. It’s open book and super easy. Definitely nothing to stress about. It did take me the full 2 hours though.

They give you resources to use on every questions too! Not bad at all!

Hello! I’m BEYOND nervous. I just had an interview this morning over the phone. It was for the OR. I’m feeling discouraged. She said “call back if you haven’t heard anything in a couple of weeks” I don’t know if this is a positive or negative sign. :( maybe I’m over thinking it. LOL. I hope it doesn’t take long to hear back? Does anyone know how many positions they offer for the residency?

I heard back with an offer exactly one week after my interview! Honestly, not only from my own experience but also from a lot of my friends and other people posting on the forums about their own experiences, I have seen that more often then not, an offer usually goes out pretty soon (latest is a week and a half). I don't think I have ever heard of an offer going out later than that, soo you should expect a phone call sooner then later ?

Hey! It’s been a week and a half since my phone screening and I haven’t heard anything back so I’m guessing no facility is interested lmao but I still want to follow up just in case. Anyone know who I could contact?

Call the recruiter that did your phone screening! You should've gotten their number or email when you got the phone screening invite!

Did anyone else get an offer from the MICU??
