Hi everyone! I know the application for the nurse residency program for BSWH opened up on 9/1/20 and figured that I would start a thread to update each other on it. Good luck

Thank you so much! My friend has an interview for the DFW area BUT I think that is only because he knows someone who knows someone haha. But, yall should all be getting emails and phone calls soon! It's just a big area with so many hospitals! Hopefully, before mid-October, because it is definitely nerve-wracking. Good luck to you!
I did my phone screen and the recruiter mentioned mid October as a time frame for the next steps and that they were still getting responses from different facilities and units about what positions would be available. I think it's just moving slowly from our perspective, but it is starting to move and it seems like each step takes a couple of weeks. I did my video interview on the 2nd or 3rd and just got the email and did the phone screen this week.
It will be mid October before we know it ?

Thank you so much. I actually don't know. I didn't even think to count when I signed up. I'm sorry, I wish I did. There were only like 3-4 days I saw open in October. More could have opened since I signed up a week ago. But someone earlier said that there was like 25-30 or something slots they saw.

Oh yeah that was me, haha. Just trying to get a better understanding of the process!

My first choice was Women's Services but of course that wasn't available. So I told him I wanted to move acute care to my first spot (my second voice originally), then ICU up to my second spot. My interview is for acute care though.

Congrats! I am still anxiously awaiting critical care (EEEK). The spots are small but I am keeping the hope alive ?

It was basically confirming where you got your nursing degree, what your GPA is/was, location preference, specialty preference and if you have any certifications. He also offered to answer any questions I had.
He also mentioned that invitations to do the live video interviews with the hiring managers in the ATX region will go out mid October.
Did you attend the expo for this? I did and I recall them saying they only had 13 openings. Is your interview for acute care? Good luck!

I had clinical the day of the ATX area expo, but I was able to get some info from a friend who attended! My interview is for acute care which was my #1 choice. Thank you so much, I hope yours goes well too!
