Baylor BSN 2014 Spring Applicants

Published

I was just wondering if there is anyone else applying for the 2014 spring program. It's my first time applying to a nursing school so I'm excited! My HESI is overall average 86% (not that great) and overall gpa 3.7, also I'd be considered a transfer student. Hope to hear from ya'll!

rnmeans, to check your awards log into bear web, click student services and financial aid, then financial aid, then award, and then award for aid year, then click the appropriate year, and go to the award overview tab! When your on that page it should list all your awards! Goodluck!

Also do you guys know if we wear scrubs everyday? I'm trying to decide how many sets I should buy.

Christie, I asked the lady at World Uniform (where the scrubs are sold) the same question, and she recommended at least 3 sets. She said Baylor changed the rules to anytime your in the hospital you have to wear scrubs therefore needing more than 2 sets. Other than clinicals and being in the hospital, I don't think we have to wear scrubs to classes? Ultimately, its up to you :nurse:

Any body got welcome e-mail from Ms. De-De Henson stating the schedule (registration)?

I can see my schedule on the bear web page!

I just got my schedule too! :) 17 hours.

just got my email! whew! its getting more real everyday!

quick question - do yall plan on getting physical books, or the ebook versions? I always seem to do better with an actual book in front of me, but a lot of people say you get used to the online books....?

I had the same question rmeans. I'm so old school! I don't have a tablet or kindle so I figure the first semester I'll go with the hardcopies and see how I feel afterwards.

I can't believe we have our schedule...crazy!

I got my schedule too! exciting. Yes I am planning to go with the hard copies too. My Monday schedule ends at 5.10 P.M Other than Monday, the rest of the week looks manageable. Thanks guys.

Does anyone else have a Saturday clinical. I am beyond excited about receiving our schedule for the spring :)

my schedule states that I only have Thursday 7 to 2 throughout the semester. Not sure if that will change! Anyway I like this better, except for Mondays.

I am definitely more comfortable with the actual books so am getting that. I also have a saturday clinical, but don't know how I feel about it since I was hoping to work at least Saturdays... BUT am still excited about it!!
