Published

Hi! I haven't seen anything in regards to the Distance BSN program at Baylor for the Fall 2021 cohort and wanted to get a conversation started! If anyone else has applied or been accepted, comment on this thread!

I honestly think you will be fine. I’m so excited it’s only a year. What’s your location? I’m in Houston.

Yeah I am too! I’m in Waco.

Thanks same to you!! Oh wow you’re only missing 3 not bad. I still have Nutrition, Chemistry,  English Literature, World Religion, Bible Based Religion, and Statistics to take. Hopefully I can find the Religion classes at a Community College.

Just in case there is a facebook group for the 2021 cohort fall ABSN.

just search Baylor ABSN fall 2021 on facebook!

good luck to everyone applying!!

World Religion is taught at Dallas community college. It’s under philosophy department.

while I have seen bible based as Dallas community college I was unable to ever find it for the semester I wanted.

so I recommend Wtamu self pace bible course. It’s not as cheap as cc but it’s only $699. Which is a pretty good price and beats all the other schools I looked at offering a bible course.

That’s great!! Good luck with everything! OMG waiting for them to make a decision is stressful LOL. When did you submit your application. I’m so nervous LOL and I have a few more classes to take. Also who is your advisor? I’m currently working with Scott Franke.  Is this the only program you’re applying to?

Yes! Waiting is so stressful! That's the hard part LOL

I have 3 more classes I need to take. I am currently finishing up a degree (I'm set to graduate in May) and taking one of the classes required for the program!

I submitted my application mid February and had my interview end of February. My advisor is (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). This is the only program I have applied to so hopefully I get in LOL

Congratulations on your degree! I hope I can take Pharm before the program starts? I’m not sure how that works

Baylor does not accept credit for nursing courses from other colleges is what I was told. They require their pre-reqs, and then everyone takes the same curriculum once in the program. I have taken Pharm and was told I would not receive credit for it.
