Baylor ABSN Fall 2021

Hi! I haven't seen anything in regards to the Distance BSN program at Baylor for the Fall 2021 cohort and wanted to get a conversation started! If anyone else has applied or been accepted, comment on this thread!

Hi Im actually applying for the Fall 2021 cohort. I’m taking my HESI March 25th. Have you applied or been accepted?

That’s great!! Good luck with everything! OMG waiting for them to make a decision is stressful LOL. When did you submit your application. I’m so nervous LOL and I have a few more classes to take. Also who is your advisor? I’m currently working with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME ).  Is this the only program you’re applying to?

Hi! I applied back in January and got my admission letter 2 weeks ago! I'm so excited! Good luck to you both!

OMG really Congratulations! So you didn’t have to wait long. I hate waiting LOL Do you mind sharing your stats? I’m just so nervous to take the HESI.

I don't recall the exact stats from what they calculate as they never sent it in writing and it's different than most schools, but my pre-req GPA is around 3.8, science pre-req was probably 3.5. 

My HESI scores - overall 88: 
Reading 90
Grammar 90
Vocabulary 92
A&P 76
Math 92

Great Stats! What did you use to study for your HESI? I’m currently using NurseHub. It has helped me so much

Hey y’all! 
I recently applied and have my phone interview tomorrow! 
If y’all don’t mind me asking how do you plan to support yourself throughout the program? I’m in my mid 20s and don’t really have a support system to financially support me so I was counting on being able to work but I saw that they do not allow you to work while in the program so I’m kind of stresssing! LOL

I am also worried about not working while in the program. My parents are going to help out but I don’t like to depend on others LOL. I’m also in my mid 20s. They did mention about not working but sine you don’t have a support system have you looked into a job that’s going to be flexible and allow you to work when you can.

Yeah I currently serve in a restaurant so the hours and pretty flexible! I’m just nervous that they are going to say I’m not allowed to work at all.

I honestly think you will be fine. I’m so excited it’s only a year. What’s your location? I’m in Houston.
