Published

Hi! I haven't seen anything in regards to the Distance BSN program at Baylor for the Fall 2021 cohort and wanted to get a conversation started! If anyone else has applied or been accepted, comment on this thread!

Congratulations on your degree! I hope I can take Pharm before the program starts? I’m not sure how that works

Thank you! Baylor doesn't require Pharm as a prerequisite for the nursing program. I think we will be taking it during the course of the program. Hope that helps!

Great Stats! What did you use to study for your HESI? I’m currently using NurseHub. It has helped me so much

I honestly did not study as much as I should have. I was 9 months pregnant and exhausted. I used the Evolve HESI study book and it was most helpful for me with the math problems as I had to refresh my fraction knowledge. Good luck!

Hey y’all!
I recently applied and have my phone interview tomorrow!
If y’all don’t mind me asking how do you plan to support yourself throughout the program? I’m in my mid 20s and don’t really have a support system to financially support me so I was counting on being able to work but I saw that they do not allow you to work while in the program so I’m kind of stresssing! LOL

I have no idea at this point! It's the main thing I am stressing over right now. I have 2 kids and a farm to support, and I know we can't easily do it on just my husband's income. Not working is a sacrifice I'm willing to make, but it will be extremely difficult. I have no clue what our plan is though. Does anyone know how to get in touch with some that is in the program or recently completed it? I'd like to touch base with them on possibility of working a flexible part time job.

Yes I believe I did see Pharm on the Baylor Nursing Curriculum whenever we start the program. It’s probably best we all take the course at the same time. We can definitely help and support each other since I’ve heard the course is hard.

Hi! I applied back in January and got my admission letter 2 weeks ago! I'm so excited! Good luck to you both!

Can I ask how they notified you? My application is complete and I don’t know if I should be looking for an email or a letter or if there is a certain schedule when they send out decisions. I’m trying to be patient!

Your admission advisor should call and verify information with you once they receive the application from NursingCas. The actual admission came in an email, then I got a call from my advisor the next day to discuss the next steps.

Hi I just got accepted into the distant program hoping to make friends for support!!
