Does BRCC still mail out acceptance letters in June??? I'm eager to know!! If so, I have a long wait!
$287 yikes! I've gotten all my books but the Fundamentals bundle. I think I'm just going to wait to see what they say about it on Friday.I got my shoes from the uniform/nursing supply shop on Essen Ln. I told them I wanted the cheapest pair of all white, leather shoes haha. That turned out to be $50 Cherokee clogs that are pretty ugly but feel fantastic! You can definitely find cheaper online but you can't try them on first, of course. Cherokee sizes run weird apparently, I ended up a whole size smaller then normal! So I'm glad I paid a bit more and got them in person.
Yea, but the Fundamentals book is the most Important. I think it's cheaper on Amazon.
The only one I've gotten so far is fundamentals! I ordered it today on amazon it was only 191 but they said they only had 3 left before I bought mine. I'm kind of nervous because I haven't bought any of the others yet. Don't have money for all that right now! Lol
And 50 isn't bad for the shoes! What's the name of the place you went to?
Yeah, I went there yesterday and looked but didn't buy. That's ridiculous. I know the bookstore's prices are higher, but $100 more?! For the exact same thing?
And good thing I didn't, because Amazon pushed the release date back up and it'll be here by Tuesday. I would've loved to have had it to read ahead over the weekend, but I am willing to sacrifice a couple of days..
(By the way, if you haven't checked LOLA, they changed our Fundamentals teacher. It's no longer the one that taught the CPR class. I've heard good things about this one as well, though, from people that had her as a clinical instructor.)
Hello ladies!! I currently attend Brcc and is planning on applying to the nursing program in Spring '14. I have taking my pre reqs and co reqs at Brcc. I was just wondering if its okay for student nurses to wear long sleeves to clinical and in lab. I'm asking because I have visible tattoos on my arms. I'm 27 and I got them when I was 17, when I wasn't sure about what I would even be doing in life. Also Congrats to everybody for getting into the program.
According to our handbook (which you should be able to pull up on brcc's website in the nursing section), they allow us to wear long sleeve black or white shirts under our scrub tops when it's cold. We also have a long sleeve lab coat, so I'm sure you'd be fine. I also would think they've probably had people in your same position before. Hope that helps! :)
