Just thought I'd start a thread for all of us applying! I'm planning on completing my application pretty soon. Taking the CCRN this week, and then I'll be ready to go! How are you all faring?
Also, does anyone know anything about the Tampa campus? I'm going to try and go for that one.
I have everything in except the GRE which I am retaking Feb 26th. My GPA is absolute crap if looking at the cumulative but above a 3.3 if looking at the last 60 which I believe they do. 1.5yrs adult ICU and 1.5 yrs peds, CICU, CCRN, TNCC, PALS, ACLS, CMC. Hopefully a strong GRE will land me an interview.
Your stats sound great. I am sure that you will land an interview as long as you score a 300 or above on the GRE. My gpa is similar to yours. I have 2.5 years in adult ICU. I am about to start a Peds ICU/NICU float position. I have BLS, ACLS, CCRN. I need to get PALS. I am studying for the CMC. I am contemplating taking the TNCC. I just completed my RN-BSN program this past December. I have been studying off and on for the GRE but I am finding it so hard to get motivated. I am tempted to only apply to schools that also accept the MAT. I know that I would be severely limiting myself as far as where I can apply. I am just going to bite the bullet and retake it again in March. I scored a 147 verbal, 145 quantitative, and 4.0 writing. I am trying my best to stay focused and study but it is difficult. I am going to hunker down and just bite off little chunks. I have the ETS study books and I purchased Magoosh. We shall see how it turns out. I am in Georgia. Where are you located? Best wishes to you. Keep us updated.
Congrats to all of you who received a phone call for the interview Yayyyy!!!!. I sent my application however I still do not have my GRE Scores yet since I recently took it on the 02/02/16. I also am missing the Chem class since I took them since 2006. which mean I have to take the ANE class that they offer. however, I do not want to take a $3000 class not until I know for sure I will get accepted. besides that I have everything I need an MSN, CCRN, BLS, ACLS, PALS and 3 years + ICU background. hopefully I get a call :) crossing fingers.
As long as your GRE scores are good, you should hopefully get a call. The unofficial results at the end of the test ended up being the same as my official scores for quantitative and verbal. I didn't have the Chem class either and my plan was to take it at a community college if I was accepted, to save $.
