That's really very interesting considering I'm about to be a new grad and I was told by Thunderbirds HR department "Unfortunately at this time new grads should seek other opportunities" exact words.... I'm a little perplexed.
The linked article says they are looking for experienced nurses at this time.
Sounds like they are hiring some new grads.
"Hospitals across the Valley also are cutting back on hiring nurses straight out of school, preferring more experienced care givers.
However, Dickson said he is seeking both.
A new program recently developed at Thunderbird allows the nursing staff to accommodate more new graduates.
“New grads still need training and supervision before they become independent in running a nursing unit,” he said. “We have hired a lot of new grads recently. We pair them up with an experienced nurse, learning more about what they need to do when they become completely independent.”
