I interviewed for the nurse fellows program through Banner about three weeks ago and still haven't heard anything! I was talking to another girl there for an interview who said that her friend (I know, I know, don't listen to anything like this, but I can't help it!) got a call a week after her interview offering her a slot. Has anyone else interviewed and heard anything?
I don't know why I'm so freaking out about it. I'm already accepted into Mesa to start in January (I deferred) but I WANT TO GET INTO THIS!
okay, this is my first post on here but definitely not my first look at the website. lol. i applied for the july gcc cohort and i haven't heard anything yet. i put in my application on april 1st and i'm just curious if anyone put their application in later than mine, and has heard something? i'm getting nervous because i guess i thought i would at least get an interview. any input would be great!! thanks!!
Im in block one in the march cohort and weve been in school for 9 weeks we often talk about how many people were in their interview, how fast they got the call etc. i put in my app, got a call for an interview in 3 weeks, then 3 weeks later recieved my acceptance, there are some poeple though that got the interview and received a call back 2 days later with their acceptance...
and just to ease your stress for those of you that are waiting...almost everyone walked out of their interview thinking it went bad, including myself. but still got in. GOOD LUCK GUYS.
ps. AWESOME program btw i have no complaints at all. and the instructors are amazing.
Question for those of you in this program, will they accept you if you don't want to work full time after graduation but would rather work only 2 12's a week? My understanding was that full time is considered 3 12's. Let me know as I'm considering it seriously but with my family really only want to work part time until my kids are grown or older...
I intervied for the July 09 Cohort in early April. Just got word yesterday that I made it in. They told me in the interview the selection process would have their decisions on May 8th 09.
I am really excited and honored to be selected into program but in my interview found out it was a part-time program at GWCC. I was also placed in the fall program at MCC which is not with Banner and is a traditional program. I am having a hard time trying to choose. I know boo hoo i should be so lucky. I just want to make the right decision. I dont know much about the part time program and it scares me a little because I will have to be away from my wife but will be able to stay at home with my daughter.
Does anyone know if there is a way to defer placement for a later date say like October cohort or have any info on how the part time program works?
I have another question about this program. My hubby is concerned that once you finish the program and work for Banner that they will short change you on pay since you owe them 3 years anyway? I'm assuming this is totally untrue but hubby is throwing it all out there???? Also do you still need BIO 202 and BIO 205 done before applying for the program?

I was informed that the part-time BNFP is accelerated also and that it take 24 months to complete, which is the same amount of time to complete the traditional program. It's accelerated due to the fact that there are no summer and winter breaks. You are allowed to defer, but keep in mind, the BNFP is an accelerated program, whether it's part-time or full-time.
"So BNFP now offers a part-time option? I had given up on the BNFP,as I have to work and it wasn't going to be an option for me. I am going to the info session Monday the 18th, as it has been over a year since I went to the last one. This gives me renewed hope."
They do have a part time program. The July Cohort is a part time program at GWCC. I just found out that the October 2009 cohort at GWCC is for persons who already hold a bachelors degree so I will not be able to defer. There is also an EMCC october cohort but I am not sure the specifics of it. Jbac thanks for the info on part time programs.

They usually call to schedule your appt. I applied for an October start in March and did not get a call for my interview until June. Good Luck!
