  1. What are the pre req's to get into the CAC RN program? Is it easier than going with the Maricopa Community Colleges???
  2. I have another question about this program. My hubby is concerned that once you finish the program and work for Banner that they will short change you on pay since you owe them 3 years anyway? I'm assuming this is totally untrue but hubby is throwing it all out there???? Also do you still need BIO 202 and BIO 205 done before applying for the program?
  3. Oh I see. That explains it, hopefully it will not be to technical. So far I really like the book, it's easy to understand.
  4. Happy Mother's Day to all. Do you need to buy additional items to do BIO 156 labs? I'm not quite sure how it will work the lab kit is very basic. Where are all the raw materials like onions or frogs to dissect???
  5. Thank you for posting that is very encouraging, I'm ready chapter 3 right now and will probably read a chapter a day till I finish the book, I need to give myself a lot of time to get this in my head.....
  6. Question for those of you in this program, will they accept you if you don't want to work full time after graduation but would rather work only 2 12's a week? My understanding was that full time is considered 3 12's. Let me know as I'm considering it seriously but with my family really only want to work part time until my kids are grown or older...
  7. I hope by the time I graduate, in like 3 years there will be jobs.
  8. Is it horrible for me to be looking forward to working graves and getting away from my family? I just need a job, a career something....besides being the maid, driver, and all call emergency person around here :)
  9. Yep, and toys and socks, and school work, it's embarrasing sometimes to drop my kids off at school with cheeto stains on the door. I'm hoping when I become a nurse I can afford something more upscale but at this stage in life I'll just manage. We are on one income and can't afford a lot of luxury, like carwash, God forbid my hubby does it, he's too tired after a long day of work, wonder what he thinks I do all day with 3 kids, 2 with learning disabilities and IEP"s at school, guess he thinks I'm Peggy Bundy.
  10. Me too, I need the car washed and all the french fries removed from the backseat!!! I just wish for mothers day my hubby would take my kids out and I could just sit at home alone in silence for about 12 hours. That would be perfect for me.
  11. I got my BIO 156 book yesterday and read chapter 1 and 2, not too bad but I wonder what the instructor will actually want us to know, I"m taking it online at Rio. does anyone know if the syl. will tell us exactly what we need to know??? Are the instructors pretty clear, I'm not sure if I can cram all this into my head...
  12. I meant there is "hope" for me, thanks for sharing, I've heard a lot of negatives about Rio so your post is reassuring, keep us posted on your progress, congrats on your submission of your application, I can't wait to get there!
  13. Off topic but how did you all do on the NET exam, is it hard? Do I need to get a study guide? I'm hoping to do that over the summer too....boy looks my schedule is going to be super full the next 3 years....
  14. awesome so there is home for me..
  15. Yeah, I will not be taking CHM, but I will be taking medical terminology, my dad's a nurse and highly recommended it, he said it would help a bunch once you're in the program. I'm going to be taking the 8 wk BIO 156 I've decided, that will ensure that I will have my application in by the end of the year. How was BIO 201 on line at Rio?
